So you are happy with the way schofield, jcarr & hedland have performed being prized recruits. I'd say for the price paid for these guys they have turned out to be poor decisions. Indeed, isn't cc now stating that your midfield needs bolstering which is a clear meaage that their midfield recuitments have not performed.

Let's just say, since the cc & schab inc. have taken over the reigns at freo, they have spent more money on player recruitment without onfield success.
Why would you care how Schofiled has has performed. As a minimal cost player he has met expectations. Carr has been a real asset and Headland has so far been disappointing in that he he has not "starred", but has just been a good ordinary player. There is no doubting their talent, which was well spotted.

Now your changing your post to be about value for money; different subject. Either way you're a pinhead.[/QUOTE]

Pinhead, I doubt it ! The only pinheads are dorker supports like you who continue to be fed bulls##t by cc and now your chairman. That premiership must seem far, far away. Perennial loser.

Do you reckon any one else but Swabbie would have been able to do the same with what we had and who wanted out?

I don't

We got Croad & Macpharlap for 1, 20 , 36
Simmonds in a 3 way deal for Bandy
Farmer for Black
Medders for Schell pick 56
Browne for our 4th round Pick

Don't forget Drummie traded off Clement , Holland & Sinclair just as they were getting to the useful 40-70 game mark.

Pretty handy boost along I would have thought.

Still only 15 Afl players if you count Grover and consider that Polly only effectively played 4 games in 2002 .
I think you're giving Schwab some unwarranted credit Ripper. When you have first pick in the PSD clubs have to accept whatever you offer if their player is keen to move. We were really lucky that Black wante to come back last year otherwise we would have lost Simmonds for nothing (or Aaron Fiona which is close to nothing).

McPharlin and Croad for picks 1, 20 and 36 in the greatest draft of all time I think is breaking even at best. If Croad had played to the level we expected it would have been a win. If Dunn becomes a very good player I think it will be a win but as it stands it's pick 1, 20 and 36 for McPharlin and a guy who has played only a couple of games and looks too slow for modern football.

Simmonds for Bandy was a massive win.

Black for Farmer was an even trade.

Medhurst was a good pick up but a 5'11" full forward is never going to be high on a recruiters wish list. Also the fact that Medhurst told interstate clubs he was reluctant to move away from WA explains why he was still available so late. A quality pick up none the less.

Browne may be de-listed so I'm not sure of the quality of the selection. I'm a fan of his and hope he stays but with the emergence of Crowley, Dodd and Peake will struggle to get a game if he is on our list next year. If he is delisted and is fully fit by Novemeber he may be redrafted.

The fact that Clement, Sinclair and Holland were traded in 2000 meant that a few of the young guys (Woods, McPhee etc) were able to get a couple of games under their belt in 2001, so they were able to contribute in 2002.
