Haha, you actually stole that retort from me many years ago. You could say it was part of my comedic CrowmosomeYawn
True, but if they think JHF is the best player then they should pick him.

Although for the trolols it isn't a bad scenario to pick JHF at one, then spend eternity telling Collingwood they could have picked Callaghan (or whomever) and still picked Daicos FS.I think if a club trades down their picks to the degree that matching the no 1 pick is an absolute no brainer (gaming the system) then the team with the no 1 pick.has an absolute obligation to select him to make them pay up (slightly balancing the system).
They should decide based on whether the matching club will 100% match not on where they rank the player (unless the player they are actually picking desperately wants to be no 1, as for example Patton apparently did).
If crows get Dawson by giving dogs picks 23,37 and 44. What player will we draft in the 60s with our 2nd pick, oloughlin or Dudley?

Pick 10 bugger thatWhy dont we give the dogs 23, 44 and the two picks we have in the 60’s that we wont even use?.. and a wink that if darcy is still on the boaed come our pick we wont pick him..
how many points does that add up to?

Thats what I was thinking… if we arent gonna use them.. why care? And taking out the picks in the 60s ??
That's almost it IMOPick 14
Pick 10 bugger that
I think Richmond might just do picks 26 & 28 to get pick 17 - they then have 7, 15 & 17 - not a bad hand at all to hit this draft with. Picks 38, 42 and 47 could be then shuffled to next year if they can find clubs keenHere are some examples:
Richmond: 38, 42, 47 = 1176 points
Adelaide: 23, 44 = 1177 points
Richmond: 28, 42, 47 = 1388 points
Adelaide: 23, 37, 62 = 1421 points
Pick 17 = 1025 points
In the end I think to get pick 17 we'll have to outbid Richmond, as opposed to offering a certain pick's worth of value
Could be expensive as Richmond have a lot of 25+ picks
Here are some examples:
Richmond: 38, 42, 47 = 1176 points
Adelaide: 23, 44 = 1177 points
Richmond: 28, 42, 47 = 1388 points
Adelaide: 23, 37, 62 = 1421 points
Pick 17 = 1025 points
I think some find it hard to separate point value from actual pick value, at timesignore the point value from our end, we would never get that upgrade without the other team needing points. It’s a good deal for us.
But we don't know that, there's something going on re list spots or we would have at least given O'Connor a 1 year deal already?Thats what I was thinking… if we arent gonna use them.. why care?
