They played like it was going to be an easier game than GFs usually are. Players took extra steps that weren’t there, looked for handballs that weren’t there.

It’s a shame because every lesser team is going to copy the Richmond style and we’re going to get a tonne of slogs in 2018.

Richmond deserved to win, but I fear for footy if this game style of just relentless tackling pressure becomes the norm.

Not even that bad. They were pretty much split down the middle today in terms of guys who showed up and those who didn't..

Tigers just brought exceptional desperation, pressure and run. You can't make a game plan around nullifying those aspects. It's the Dogs v Swans 2.0. Some Swans shit the bed, as did some Crows, but by and large they played alright and were just soundly beaten.

Well you should understand better than most what it is like. The front page of the Advertiser the Monday after one of our losses in the early 2000s read 'beef stock, chicken stock, laughing stock' with a photo of Port Adelaide on it. I can remember people laughing about Daryl Wakelin having to have his Jaw wired up after Bickley Punched him. They booed Trengove when he wrecked his ankle in 2014, they booed Schulz when he was almost blinded in 2012. I am not going to pretend that we don't have our clowns but if you act like a bunch of sanctimonious asshats all year every year, don't complain when you get a shiv in the back while you're down.
