Advantage in a marking contest

Yo chaps, first time on this thread. I have always disliked it when a player takes a good pack mark, but because 1 of his team mates gets a push or something, the ball is taken off of him. Only a small thing, but IMO why not pay advantage & give it to the bloke showcasing one of the highlights of our game?

Happened on Friday night - I forget who - but I just reckon we would have a better spectacle if the rules were interpreted this way. The team is not disadvantaged.

Why does a mark get taken off of a player to pay a free for a minor infringement? Mitch Duncan was robbed of a mark of the year contender for an umpire making a call on 2 blokes wrestling. Why is it not advantage? I he took the ball on the run & snapped a goal it would be paid advantage, but because it was a mark it is not. Where is the logic in that?

Pet peeve of mine, but people do not go to the footy to see umpiring decisions, they go to see speccies. If the advantage rule was applied evenly it would be Duncan's mark - replayed all weekend, but now will be forgotten.

C'mon Geish, issue one of those non directives we hear about from you all the time & do somethiong to improve the game..Rant over.

Again last night Cats v Saints.Shocking interpretation.
