It looks ike the problems with IE8 are formatting related - so no biggy!

I've tipped Raiders and Bills (not telling on others).

For those inexperienced at 3xko, there's always a wrecking-ball (a sure-fire favorite who loses that causes masses of lives lost) lurking each week you have to be careful about

This time last year we had replacement refs wrecking everything. So I for one am happy to start the year with the regular wrecking ball. Not nearly as destructive.

Most interesting from my POV is people's strategy in Temptation, and why/how they're picking their 10 teams...

I signed up for Temptation just because I thought everyone else would without reading about it and understanding how it works. It's going to be such a bitch to play. This AE game seemed like so much fun, but without it even starting, my mind is so frazzled.

Whoever came up with this idea needs to be shot, you bastard

Waiting on the line from Vegas before tipping lines, but I've sent 9 of my 10 toplist teams out in week 1.

Go hard or go home.

In temptation, if you send out teams with a bet, and they lose that bet, you lose that team from your toplist for the rest of the season.

Example, I send out 9 of my 10 toplist teams, varying bets on line, 27+ and the win. Say, I get 4 wrong, then I'm left with 6 toplist teams for the rest of the season. Then say the week after I send 3 out, and they all are wrong, then I'm left with 3 to last the whole season.

The tough thing about that is....temptation is based on points earned. So if I'm down to 3 teams left to last 15 weeks, I'll have no hope of scoring enough points while others still have say 8 teams left.

But again, if people are playing conservatively, only sending out 1 or 2 teams per week, they wont score as many points perhaps to keep up with those risk-takers who are sending say 8 out and all 8 are winning and earning points.

Personally, Temptation is becoming my favorite comp as I ponder it theoretically.

My initial tactic then, as everything I do is living by the credo of swinging from chandeliers, is like a marathon race, or a long-distance bicycle race, where sometimes you see one guy sprint ahead from the pack, and try to build a massive lead, and hold on. While the rest of the field sticks together and they alternate being the lead bike, gradually pegging back the front leader, as they can take turns expending energy setting a pace, while the front runner is all alone and tires.

My tactic then, i'm not afraid to announce, is to be that guy who TRIES to sprint ahead with a massive lead in the early weeks, and then plays conservatively preserving toplist lives, hoping the big lead he has can hold him till the end.

Of course, knowing me, I'll lose all 9 teams I send out in week 1, and I'll be left with 1 team

Perhaps the smartest tactic would be playing conservatively the first few weeks, to get a feel for which teams this year are good and which suck....tho you have to kind of predict that selecting your 10 toplist teams that you're stuck with rest of the season.....and then, after playing conservatively for a few weeks, starting to send out more teams thru the middle of the year, trying to forge ahead, and then, determining how the rest of the field looks, how far people are behind you, how many teams they have left, and deciding whether to play conservatively knowing they cant catch up, or finding yourself in a neck-and-neck sprint for the finish line where the both of you are going for broke high-rollers.

Each week you have the option to back them to Win, Score 27 points or cover the spread.

Get them right and you will earn 1, 2 or 3 points respectively.

Get them wrong and you will lose the corresponding team.

Get the fav correct to cover spread and it's 4 points!! (3 pts plus 1 point BONUS for winning)

I can see GG taking the under the radar teams (read >> Underdogs) who will occasionally beat the line to get three points... (that's all that's needed and if they get the WIN, it's an additional pointed added on). I sense GG is taking the JAGS as his 'Project team'.. you read here first folks.
