I fail to see any justification for it. Makes no sense and no difference to the AE commish if someone awols or not. If someone goes totally awol say, the loss is their own. They basically gave 40 charity to the kitty.
And many people often miss tips here and there just due to work family overseas. Even miss a round accidentally. No one goes awol on purpose. It's punishing honest mistakes
