I fail to see any justification for it. Makes no sense and no difference to the AE commish if someone awols or not. If someone goes totally awol say, the loss is their own. They basically gave 40 charity to the kitty.

And many people often miss tips here and there just due to work family overseas. Even miss a round accidentally. No one goes awol on purpose. It's punishing honest mistakes

I'm with GG on the deposit, 50% of the entry fee is quite stiff penalty for missing 2 weeks! I'll be travelling around South America for the pretty much the whole season, so missing rounds is donating the cash anyway, don't see any need to punish further.

Sadly in AE i usually do shit
Knock out a few giants in ND and LCS but that's about it. Maybe make HRS.

On topic I am just a bit cautious about the cost of playing AE doubling in recent years from $30.
Maybe people can submit an embarrassing video of themselves in lieu of the $20. If they no show for a week you release it for everyone to see?

Absolutely love the choice of Lane Kiffin. Davis was obviously intent on that program there in USC, but his choice of Kiffin IMO is a stroke of genius. Absolute prodigy he is. In time he will be known as a master NFL HC. Big call I know, but wait and see. He will end up having the same effect that Walsh, Dungy, etc have had, where his co-ordinators end up being the Kiffin-tree going on to coach his styles/philosophy. He has such a broad offensive knowledge-base across many areas of the game.

I thought the depth chart was designed to make picks on our behalf in the event we are not able to do it. What's the point of having that and be like "oh dont worry the depth chart will give you decent picks" but also "btw you've now lost $10".

Maybe instead of the $20 fee change how weekly tips using the DC are penalised.

On point about the AE Depth Chart as well....it was created for that very purpose....covering for people gone awol, people who forgot to tip being so busy, or website glitches not saving people's tips.

Lowest total CR -10 points just so the person with the lowest doesn't feel hard done by.

Ok. What about when someone enters half their picks, and the other half didn't due to glitch. You often see people make anything from 1 selection to say 10 or 12, and either forgot to do the rest, or the site error'd.

In the case of site errors special rulings need to be made.

Really it shouldn't happen or it would be easier to submit tips with plain text.

I think your proposal meets my criteria of K.I.S.S. Just simplifying stuff. Woodson often expresses how much work he has to do, due in part to the multitude of complex rules, bonuses, penalties, and depth chart....so he really should be the bigger advocate of K.I.S.S. by embracing your rules for this year. No time like the present.

Before the year starts you rank the 32 teams from 1-32 so if you miss picks Woodson goes down the list to apply CR and 3xko picks for you.

Eg...
I rank
1. Pats
2. Seahawks
3. Broncos
4. Colts
Etc

Week one say pats and Seahawks play, say broncos play dolphins and say colts play niners...say I missed a bunch of tips.

16 CR would go on pats, 15 CR on broncos, 14 CR on colts etc.

And in 3xko I would get pats broncos and colts
