Just checking in.. I've gotten some feedback from JD who says he'll work on a pre-set subscription via paypal button as he aligns the week by week NFL schedule.

Still REQUIRE another 26 votes in the coming 12 days for the change of MAX CR during BYE weeks. It's unlikely at this stage the CR will be a All-in-one with Grid Warriors group.

2. Would rather the competitions to run from the same set of tips, rather than multiple logins etc. Too bad if you need to sacrifice one competition for another at some point, that's part of it.
3. Happy with all of the competitions as per last year. The only one I would tweak is Survivor; one pick per week, you can't tip a team to win more than twice, and you can't tip against a team more than twice
4. I choose this moment not to mention my missing mug.

I'm in a private AFL forum and decided to try and run the same kind of competition for AFL next year, not knowing that it was being done by someone else from here already. My concerns were whether there would be enough differentiation in weekly scores with only 9 games, as that could result in a truckload of ties. Time will tell I guess.

Joke at my expense? My end of season survey is like your polls. I get the opinions and make the decisions that are in the best interests of the league.

You do the same but change nothing because you rely on the non active people (usually keep myself) that do not vote year in, year out.

I can't even think of an analogy or comparison which is similar cause I can't think of anything equally as pointless and ineffectual.

I'd be interested to see your research you've been doing to arrive at the zero difference conclusion.

Some serious knots in knickers around the NFL section lately.

Must be the pressure of training camp. Or BPG's raving making everyone uneasy.

Don't get Dirty, Bird.

Using the AFL schedule as an example, you have an added potential 16 point swing when you tip 9-4 than when you tip 6-1.

Removing 1CR for 16CR, 2CR for 15CR, etc. when talking about the NFL and you can see that there is increased likelihood of an impact being made.

This works on two levels as well. Leaders or front runners can potentially build a bigger margin OR the logic based tippers who are languishing mid pack or down the bottom have the ability to erase a bigger defecit if the leading pack have a bad round.

Don't say the above is a myth, we all know GG.exe has a couple of good rounds each year. So we should all be for the change.

Records are likely to be broken, sure. Historical comparisons might be out of whack, true. Woodson rarely goes into historical CR numbers until the end of year. If people are concerned, create a split. Records with the old scoring system, records with the new scoring system. It keeps the history, prevents any scores from having an asterisk next to it and is the same amount of work as adding this year's scores to the current books at the end of the year.

I was going to reply with the facts, then I realised I was wrong, so had to call you out as it was my only defence haha.

All I was focusing on was each correct tip is 4 more points.
it makes no difference to that week
But when closing down the league it makes a big difference.
And when I claim historical comparisons, the NFL does that in itself. with the changes in schedule some years will have a lower maximum total available than others.

Thinking about it more.
Yeah, it does make a difference.
But is it worth changining? I don't believe so,

Nup...just pulling GG's daks down.. regards his pragmatic ways which is closing in to the fever pitch antics of the the zany furniture and whitegoods dealer, Ken Bruce, back in the day. We have a low end competitor (by name) on our boards in the same industry for what it's worth...




Anyway, the cohesion in friction I'm reading just creates more JUICY rivalry with a touch of SPITE spice.
