While he might not be the personal agent to a lot of those players he would have likely had dealings with most in some capacity and would also bring a lot of contacts and intellectual property that could prove useful for recruitment/retention. I don't have any idea about his skills as a manager but the types of networks that he could bring to the club could be a big coup in the short to medium term.

I'm optimistic. The waiting for the bad news is something we have got used to with the AFC, but I feel like that AFC wouldn't have hired someone like Fagan, and that AFC would absolutely not have sacked Sando. Maybe things are changing.It'll definitely have that inevitable feel about it until we have a decent coach at the helm

I doubt it. We are one of the biggest clubs in the AFL, play in a fantastic new stadium and have a very promising list (though some might dispute this).

Redhorse, did you get any wind of Sando getting the sack? And if the JC chase was dependent on Sando in anyway?
Hey all. Can't believe how quickly Sando got abolished!! Havent had internet on my phone since Tuesday night and just logged on now before Breakfast...hop on facebook and it's everywhere!
I knew nothing of this happening, so that says to me that its esculated fast. It had to be a player decision I believe. I just text my mate and I'm waiting for a reply.
Off to Universal studios!

Very interested to see how this plays out Trades/Re-sign wise - especially if the rumours are true. If we manage to have a big appointment for the Coach position, it could be favourable, however, the opposite way would hurt us incredibly.

Rupert said that Fagen was informed that this may happen throughout the interview process. I'd imagine the same would have been told to Cameron.
