I'd do 14 & 21 for 10.I'd really like this. Be interesting if it's Geelong looking to trade up, or us trade down.
Might mean we are looking at Goddard or Marchbank as KPD rather than Durdin.
14: Goddard
21: Menadue
I'd be stoked. KPD and a speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.
Some whispers about Dylan Shiel of GWS on the move.
I have an idea he has some kind of Adelaide connection - girlfriend maybe ???
Could he be our GWS mystery man?

rookie upgrades and drafting. not that hard.We do have to fill 5 spots on the senior list somehow

cant be much difference between the players between pick 10 and 14 then?
we should be aiming to get into some of that pick 37 action!I'd do 14 & 21 for 10.
Since the 1996 National Draft...
Pick 10 has given a club a player that has averaged 49 games for the club that chose him, compared to 65 games for pick 14's.

Funny you say that - in the 2004 draft we were really keen on Mark LeCras. We needed a tall forward though. We took Chad Gibson at pick 28 after he 'slid'. Mark LeCras was taken at pick 37...rest is history.we should be aiming to get into some of that pick 37 action!
That was always bound to happen IMO. Young kids go there and get 2 or 3 seasons under there belt playing almsot every game, which they wouldn't have go at an established club. As the contract winds down, asked to be traded to better markets where you can get more exposure and possibly greater success.GWS in turnmoil.... they are losing so much quality
Damn those other clubs for letting Gibson slide.Funny you say that - in the 2004 draft we were really keen on Mark LeCras. We needed a tall forward though. We took Chad Gibson at pick 28 after he 'slid'. Mark LeCras was taken at pick 37...rest is history.
the problem now is what happens to the half of the team that's already rebuilt I.e. Talia, walker , Sloane etc. You risk loosing them through free agency as they get impatient. We can't keep starting again! We are probably only a handful of players off seriously competing
That's obviously code for "Cameron and Aish"Noble did say we would be doing stuff all.

You're right. I think they're recruiting strategy was flawed. They had the opportunity to get more experienced players to start with. That was always bound to happen IMO. GWS aren't GC and aren't going to win anything in the nearish future. They are becoming the pension club for the old blokes looking to cash in.
Not good.. Would prefer no one drafts him and he stays where he isGood let them. Darcy Cameron has a bigger upside

Blame Sheedy/Silvagni for that. The thought that they could bring in 20-30 of the best young players and expect them to stay/create success was stupid. You're right. I think they're recruiting strategy was flawed. They had the opportunity to get more experienced players to start with.

How are they bloody linked to everyone?? Their list next year according to all the news, J Cameron, D Shiel, P Dangerfield, D Beams and any other player worth anything at all..Shiel is being linked to Melbourne, along with Jeremy Cameron.
Another problem for GWS is their crowds. Average home attendances of 9,900 isn't exactly enticing for young players. Especially when many of their mates are playing for clubs that play their home games at the G or Adelaide Oval, etc.Agree.. And sucked in to them. They were so smug how they went about it early on... Targeting other clubs kids.. Sheedy fail
lmao players etired delisted yepAnd...still no action by us
new salary cap for melbourne 10 mill more than anybody else these ppl have nfiHow are they bloody linked to everyone?? Their list next year according to all the news, J Cameron, D Shiel, P Dangerfield, D Beams and any other player worth anything at all..
The AFL even created the mini-draft picks for them to get experienced players. Instead they swapped them for more draft picks.Agree.. And sucked in to them. They were so smug how they went about it early on... Targeting other clubs kids.. Sheedy fail
