Yeah, Koby was born in 2013.

Tom re-committed in Sept 2015. Tayla was born in April 2016, so quite likely they knew she was on the way when he re-committed last time.

I'm actually not that fussed. If they all left at the end of next year that would be different. But 4 years is loads of time to get their productivity filled out by younger players. I'd be more pissed if they weren't getting pressured out of the starting 22 by young guns in 4 years time TBH

You're not the only one questioning the decision to sign Betts all the way to 2020. Huge risk at his age. His form hasn't been great since the middle of last year. Fingers crossed it's just a bit of a slump, not the beginning of a terminal decline. At his age, the latter is more likely.

We can sign them now, but the upgrades don't take effect until the National Draft.

Note that the upgrade still happens via the draft, even though their names are no longer read out on draft night.
