The Dogs will come out firing after last week (you’d hope) and if they can put the first 3 goals on the board it will be interesting to see how the Suns react on the road. They haven’t exactly been challenged to start games yet (conceded 21 points across 2 first half’s) but they have shown that they still have it in them to concede a run of goals.

Midfield battle should be good at least. Rowell V Libba and Anderson, Touk, Flanders V Bont.

3-0 would be huge for the Suns.
Putting the first 3 goals on the board then giving it all up in under 5 minutes is our specialty

Pick 3 Jed Walter is allegedly available for selection in this game. Will be really interesting to see if Dimma takes a risk and plays him or if he plays it safe and keeps playing Casboult. Could get really ugly for the Dogs if all three of King, Lukosius and Walter are on song.

Walter debut confirmed for this game.

Despite every dogs fan on this site and social media saying that we will lose, there will somehow still be users on this site that will message here “how are the dogs losing?!?”

Walter debut confirmed for this game.

Great news. This kid will be an absolute cracker.

Brandon Ellis 250th crept up very quickly for me. Didn't notice. For the most part has been a very good player. Will spark up again under Dimma and get to 300.

For Suns Witts, Humphrey and Rosas out. Moyle, Atkins and Long in.

It will be interesting to see now Moyle goes against English and how midfield battle turns out.

Collins on Naughton is another interesting matchup considering the last game between teams in Ballarat.

Will Suns play Luko, Casboult, King, Walter (it seems crazy although Walter plays like pressure forward) or will there be a late change? Andrew replacing Casboult and boosting defence would make sense.

Will Darcy play in defence to counter Suns tall forwards or is it up to Jones, Khamis and Coffield only?

Hoping for Suns to win but expect to be a down game for Suns with some lapses in implementation of a new game plan on the road.

WB by 20.

Nathan Brown just said this game is a mini final for the bulldogs.
Really? At round 2….?

Especially considering the Dogs have West Coast next week and are very likely to bank a win, regardless of today's result. I don't buy the mini final narrative for the Dogs today.

We had to beat west coast to make finals last year and lost.

It's no guarantee we beat them🤣

It should be interesting and educational, as another punter pointed out. There is a sense that Dogs are still a tad soft, despite the personnel weapons, and also that Bevo has lost his way.

Suns hopefully will test them out thoroughly on both counts.

Derm needs to either take some long deep meditative breaths, or stop it altogether.
