STATE OF PLAY:
  • The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
  • Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
  • Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
  • This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
  • Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

Just want to add - whilst I am taking the mickey out of the coach and kit glitch- one thing that did go well is that the AFLW players were all designed really well. As a very casual AFLW Hawks fan, playing that game I recognised a stack of the players running around from my brief viewings of the games on my phone/kayo. Whilst I'm not going to pretend I'm going to play a long successful AFLW Management mode, I think its a great feature to include and doesn't feel like it's just a nothing mode plopped on there like in FIFA. Fingers crossed the VFL, SANFL and WAFL have as much detail as well - then once the known issues are stamped out, we're in for a good ride
 
I can't believe that Big Ant seemed to have gone backwards and made a game that is worse than AFL Live (2011)...

Certainly not the first time. RLL2 played better as a rugby league game than RLL3 & 4. The drop off in gameplay quality between 3 & 4 was noticeable being on the same console. The player models in 4 were great as were some tweaks around how the tackling worked but besides that, the game in my opinion was step back gameplay wise.

Not sure if the team is aware of this bug, but had it happened twice in online games
Randomly, no players pick up the ball and will just run all around or over the ball but no one will pick up the ball, turns the game into just both teams soccering the ball around. Scored a goal and it still didn't fix this as after the ruck all players still refused to pick the ball up. Really just makes it unplayable for the remainder of the game

Just wanna check if others are having the similar issue where it the controlled players will not run where you're telling them to, it's like an invisible wall that is between them and the opponent?
Yup. Sprint is a lucky dip, especially if it's towards a loose ball.

I'm sure there'll be a patch for it in 6 to 8 weeks.
 
Anyone understand the ruck timing?
I've been doing the same as Live 1 and winning plenty of hit outs. When the ball is at its highest point, push the right stick where you want to tap it.
