Might have something to do with these footballers who sheeds also rated so highly that he overuled his recruiting staff to get them....Daniel McAlister..pick 5...James Davies...pick 17....Shane Harvey...pick 18.....all useless. Not saying Clarke is useless as he is a very talented young kid. Its just when sheeds takes the reigns bad things invariably happen.

Could be worse CLarke is worth pick 6 Sheeds could take some unkown school kid at 6. They would be a nightmare. And Harvey has some abilty but a ****er of an attitude. Davies a D-mac were hacks though.

If Stewart is available ahead of two previously listed (and failed to make a real impression) blokes like Shane Tuck and Matty Ball and the Hawks passed on getting him...

Stuff the percieved 'attitude' problems or whatever he might have. Try and harness the talent which it seems nobody disputes he has.

Oh and take Dyson at 25 instead of Peel too!

He's in my phantom draft at pick 55 from memory. He had a very consistant season for the Cannons, improving at a good rate during the year and winning their best and fairest as you mentioned. Listed at 178cm but capable of playing taller and certainly not too slow. If Herrington is quick, then Hartigan kept up with him during the season in two different matches.
