I can't take what you just said seriously. You must have a really bad memory. I on the other hand remember that on AFL PS2 games they used to mark the ball only using one palm of their hand, the players didn't have faces and there were no grubber kicks.

Can we not start referring to dribble kicks as "grubber kicks"? They're dribble kicks. Grubber Kicks is a rugby term that has literally been left in the game from their rugby game. It's just lazy.

So what if it has a few extra superficial features. How does that change the core mechanics of the game?

I would be more interested in the gameplay. knowing Big Ant, they're not too shy about showing it off before the release date.

Notice it's Rugby League Live 4, and not Rugby League Evolution.

Rugby is one of the least dynamic ball sports around. You can really easily focus on gameplay and still have plenty of time left for window dressing.

I just wonder how and why they've been able to develop 4 Rugby League games, but only had 1 shot at AFL. Although, it's international, I didn't really think the Rugby League gaming market would be all that much larger.

Press the ps button while in game if your PS4 and there will be a red x under your name saying appear offline. If your not too sure what I'm talking about chances are you have never set your ps profile to offline.hope that helps mate

I've called dbc17 hot trash on bigfooty before but I'd give it another go once the patch comes out on console. Genuinely like a new game with all the improvements they've made, just wish they released that first.

AFL Evolutions early pics looked amazing too. Can't judge shit from that.

I'd argue these look worlds better than anything Evo put out before release but it's a moot point really. We'll see which code has a better game in 6 months or so

I meant in terms of graphics. I've got lots of enjoyment out of DBC17 in terms of gameplay (even with many frustrations).

But its good to hear the patch is a winner. Tbh if the only thing it fixes is stats it would add to my enjoyment tenfold.

Well then it's an unintended coincidence for accuracy, just like the commentators stuffing names up.

Not every player in the AFL is Josh Bruce-ing it from the goal square though.

I deliberately ran over the mark when a player was taking a shot today because I knew he'd be more likely to miss from the goal square and sure enough he did.

Looking forward to seeing what the WW patch brings to the game. They clearly have taken on some of the comments from the forums etc so hopefully what they are implementing has a positive impact.
