Mate. I could name you hundreds of games that didn't have completely game breaking bugs at launch. I don't expect shit to be done in a day. I expect shit to be done BEFORE THEY RELEASE THE GAME.

Return, and buy it again later in a month's time when it's in the $30 bargain bin at EB.

Hopefully WW will have patched the myriad of bugs this game has that make it near unplayable by then. Hopefully.
 
So until the patch arrives I've resorted to playing on hard and turning up to legend for opposition set shots (not ideal but it creates good contests)

you still haven't named a game that hasn't required a patch after release mate

also please define what a game breaking bug is for me, this game ain't great- there's issues with it but i wouldn't be throwing in the towel just yet
 
Started a career at a TAC club, damn it's boring as hell.
They give away a ton of frees and just freaking tap it along the ground.
The tap along the ground feature is a good idea but it gets waaaaaaaaay too abused by the AI.
I seriously can't even lay a tackle because they just tap it all the game, incredibly ****ing annoying.

What's with the match objectives?
I have 2 lots of kick behinds.
Why the **** would I wanna kick a lot of behinds, this is be a pro, not be-a-hacknamedtraviscloke.

We have Lacrosse, Tennis, RLL4 in development, amongst some other things... we're as busy as!

I acknowledge the posts above in that DBC17 was perhaps too ambitious in scope, we shouldn't have attempted as many "world firsts" as we did (cross platform sharing {PC<>PS4<>Xbox} for stadium creation, logo creation, etc.), we have been working for months getting it to be all that we want it to be, and what it should have been for DBC fans, there have been daily patches for the past two weeks for the Steam version and there is a Console version of those patches imminent.

Freo16 everything is on target, tennis, nor anything else, wont' be pushed back because of the extra efforts on DBC17.

BTW while I'm here, for a free iOS/Android game, search for our first ever mobile game, BBL it's hit 3 Million Downloads!

The game is fantastic, according to the Xbox stats I've played it for almost 33 hours this past week :D, getting good value from it and enjoying it very much. Thus far I've avoided the serious game breaking bugs that ruin the game saves or the ball being stuck in mid air.

Certainly getting my money's worth from it and while others may have taken their bat and ball and gone home, I'm still all in (although with Injustice 2 being released soon, I might not be playing it as often).

I can only talk for DBC17 - we released what we thought was a very playable and enjoyable game, I believe if DBC14 had not come before it then we'd not have had such a hard time online in forums etc. The professional, critical consensus was a metacritic of 83 and user score of 8.2

That said, we know people are unhappy and we're working to reclaim the acclaim we had with DBC14, the current Steam build I believe does that, as will the console shortly.

Think the beta team over at planet cricket have done a great job of improving the game. Hopefully they can be used again early on in the release cycle of the next cricket game.

Thanks for the answer. DBC is the best cricket series since Shane Warne Cricket by far.
Spew you can't comment on Evolution as it would be interesting to hear your views.
I'm enjoying it for what it is an AFL game on next gen... but part of me does miss your passion you would of put forth to what have been your 3rd installment in an AFL series.

Thanks for the kind words. We've only ever made one AFL game, AFL Live. Every sport we do at Big Ant is done with extreme passion, I'm sitting here watching the Dogs, Eagles and tomorrow will be at Etihad - we are sports fanatics!

we appreciate your hard work, passion, continued efforts to improve your games and open and honest feedback with the gaming public!! I wait with bated breath for the console patch of dbc17 and be back playing the greatest cricket game of all time
 
Now for some of the things i've noticed throughout the week:

Why doesn't the torpedo kick spin? The ball just floats through the air, its not right at all.

People quitting online matches and me not being awarded the win, in one case, I even got a loss.

Why are the logos in team selection such poor quality? Why the jagged edges?

I only ever get offered a one year contract in coaching career. I won the premiership and get offered only one year? On that, what are they even offering me? What are my objectives for the career? What will cause me to get sacked at the end of the year? The is no real known objective in this mode. When being offered a contract if you come from the VFL you get no stats at all, if it's from AFL club to another AFL club, you get basic stats like ladder spot last season and the number of wins. Where is their salary cap, there players, their stats etc...I need to know what I am getting when I sign on to a team.

Where are the stats in the coaches career? You go to career stats and it gives you total wins, total losses and premierships won. That's pretty much all. Where is the year by year breakdown? Where is the breakdown by team I coached? How many games did I coach at each team etc...

Why do I have to chose my team, set my team line up, set my team tactics and even some cases set my team jumper every single time I play an online game? Why aren't these saved so I don't have to spend 1 minute every game setting it up again?

Sorry for the random list, just wrote stuff down as it came to mind.

Wicked Witches keep these in mind please. ;)
 
I can't believe ww actually bragged about being #1 selling game in Australia!?

Its afl!! Of course in the first week it is!!!

How about mentioning the things they promise to fix not just a "there will be a patch"

Now is not the time for acknowledgment surely
