Probably sounds like a completely dumb question...

How does passing work? In previous AFL game the passing by foot especially has been a flaw in the game, so easy to miss a target, etc. Is there a power system where you hold down the button and the longer you hold the more power? Or is there a lock-on system?
 
Did not know of these, have been away for a bit. Will wait for the latest though, sounds awesome!!

I think it's mentioned somewhere that at least the handball is a lock-on system, check the Q&A thread stickied on this board.

How about some more information on gameplay and such? We know it's going to look good.

I'd like to know how the advantage system works. Is it like in the old AFL games where it is advantage as soon as a player from your team gets the ball, regardless of whether there are 5 opposition players around you or not? Or like in Fifa games where the umpires allow a few seconds to judge it, which is much, much better.

Ross says he can't reveal all that much about gameplay yet.
 
After going to every collingwood game in melb this year and hearing the "music" they play in the breaks. I hope to god they leave it out. The music sucks, They play the same ones every time. This gets anoying when I go once a week imagine playing game after game after game........with the same songs in the qtr breaks

Or, as was said earlier in the thread, use the music on your xbox hardrive instead ;)

If they give us that option that is.
 
Not much new news about this game for a couple days, the thread seems to have lost interest.

Statistics! Will they feature prominently, what extent will the stats be taken. Disposal efficiency, inside 50's, free kick count, contested marks/disposals etc?

It is the weekend, generally people don't work on weekends and work DURING THE WEEK.

During the week YESTERDAY we got a complete run down on how the interchange system would work. Seems like a fair ****en amount of info to me.
 
I know its the weekend but he did post alot last weekend so im not entirely stupid

That would be awesome if they had 'Disposal Efficiency' for every player. :)
 
Ross hasn't been posting as much. We'll just have to wait for some more news

I try to actually watch a lot of footy on the weekend, attending at least one game live. I also do have a game to ship, that has to be my number one priority :)

As said, the commercial reality is that we do need to keep some features up our sleeves for the press releases that will be closer to the release of the game, we must have some surprises....

Statistics will play a part in the game, the higher the difficulty setting, the bigger their impact shall be. There will be a lot of them. Indeed, earning some of the trophies will be linked to them too.

You will have targets selected via the length of time you hold the kick, the ability to lock on to a player so that you strafe is optional.
 
So looks like this should be out by grand final week if not better waiting to march 2011 as it would be a waste playing with delisted players come september.

Ps: Expecting Judd to be a level bajillion on every stat and Carrazzo to have a negative kicking attribute!
 
if you want the game to be realistic judd should be booed everytime he comes to subi... ****in hate that ****!;)
