I could be wrong but if people read between the lines and take notices of things Ross has said they would have a fair assumption that this game will be out sooner rather than later

The last comment about the new Sydney side is a bit of a give away I feel. If this game is not released until 2011, and with the talk of follow up content, plus that when the new side comes in 2012, we should be talking about the 2nd game, it would make the follow up downloadable content pointless.

Game comes out between now say Xmas, which you would just assume September? follow up content throughout the off season(trades, delistings, new draftees) or perhaps the start of the new season, and then by the end of that season they would be well on the way to making game 2?

Sounds spot on to me, with all the work they have put into the game and modeling players and now that Ross has come on here and given us some news about what is in the game, and has taken in some feedback from here, and has said that pretty much the game is complete they are just tweaking things, and they have said 2010 on their website why would it be any different, I mean why would he post on here getting the interest up if the game was still 6 months away from release, would make more sense to keep quite until it was closer to that time.

Reading between the lines it sounds as though the press release won't be to far off, with the game possibly coming out sometime in September? and they are working on other things like how to support the game after release in terms of squad updates etc.

The Gold Coast side may already be included? but with the VFL list it has at the moment? more than likely the club is not included but the stadium is, and that the GCS could be added via down loadable content later on.

For game 2, they have already got the main features implemented like the goal kicking system or the main interface.
Or they could really change the game in the next one..

Any chance we can stop with the pointless questions that have pretty much been answered.

Great stuff Ross, its a big job wading through all the questions when you don't even have to be doing this.....great work :thumbsu:
 
We're already lucky having him on and showing us screenshots, explaining the interchange system let alone, answering some of the questions we have. Stop with the pointless questions and please read the thread before asking
 
Can't wait for press release all the wuestions in my mind will be answered(ones i cant really ask)

Just my opinion but I still think this will drop in '11.

I don't know a company in history that has released 2 games in the one month? Releasing Rugby Live and this AFL game both in September would surprise me.

Both would be taking sales away from each other. As an AFL fan, I will no doubt be getting Rugby League Live as well as AFL and I know a lot of people who would do the same but can probably only afford 1 of them.

I hope to god I'm wrong and I may be, just rare for a company to release 2 games in such close succession.

Alright, fair enough. BUt still no name, the jumper will undoubtedly change before their inception and their main draftees from the 2011 draftees won't be in it, not to mention my post about the season dynamic altering vastly, and there being no confirmation of how the 2012 fixtures will work.

Not to mention the fact Ross already said they won't be in it :p

Mind you, he did avoid ruling out the Gold Coast...;)

Wow, thank god this guy's gone.

Seriously some people need to realise that BigAnt are answering questions on their own time without ANY obligation what so ever. Not to mention we're the only people actually getting this info, not even those in the media are getting this stuff.

Take what you get and if your questions aren't answered then bad luck and it might be answered at a later date...or perhaps it just can't be answered as Ross has said a good 10 times before.

Also would think that people need to read both Q&A threads and at least most of this thread prior to asking any questions.

Not really. It only took a few hours to get used to the gameplay in previous AFL games to the extent that you could dominate by 10, 20 or 30 goals.

Good to see my query answered and hopefully it is put in.

It'd just be easier being able to upload directly from the game instead of having to record from a phone or camera from the TV and uploading it that way. Would see me using YouTube as an actual uploading site more too.

Good to see that so much stuff is being crammed in and stuff that other games are introducing are being looked at, at the very least, for this title.

Why do you have to ask the exact same question so many times over? And bolding won't get you noticed more or less, if a question is to be answered, Ross will do so if he can, simple as that.

Ross already answered your question when it was a 2 parter and left out Blacktown for a fairly specific reason that anyone would realise that it meant that Blacktown WILL.NOT.BE.IN. Got it yet?

Seriously this thread is getting ridiculous with people being so impatient and asking numerous questions 99 times over (and constantly going on about a release date too, it'll be out when it's out, talking about it won't bring it out any quicker).

IF YOUR QUESTION IS NOT ANSWERED, MOVE ON.
 
Will there be Create a Player? Even if the gameplay is average this would make it the best AFL game ever. Will you be using the classic NES goal kicking ticker for the set shots?
