Anyone know a good place where I can find some specific AFL games on DVDs? I went through the collection and realised that I don't have Rd4 game of 2001 against Carlton in my collection (yes its Roo's insiprational game in shocking conditions). Does anyone know a good store when there is a big selection of AFL game on DVDs?

Well if your happy to be reamed with prices, you can get them online through Name a Game.
www.sportsdelivered.com

You can search for whatever your after through the site. I know quite a few people who have used it, and had no dramas at all. But $35 is highway robbery imo.:)

Try at the AFL store - went to the one in rundle mall a while ago about a game that was a few years ago and they said most games that they can get it.

I want to find a place like this too because i don't want to buy them through name-a-game over the net.

I want to get all finals wins (I have 97 prelim, 02 semi and the GFs) and also the first match against Hawthorn in 91. A couple of others too like round 8ish 2001 against the tigers at the MCG... 3rd quarter comeback, and round 6 2003 Carey's first match v Kangaroos.

There is a triple triumph dvd set that has the 97 prelim and the 02 semi as well as a showdown available at most good dvd stores for around $40-50ish depending on whether it's on special.

There is a link at ezydvd for $46.95

The grand finals are also available at ezydvd in a pack currently for around 36.95.

Currently out of stock though but sure to come in.

I found the AFL store through the afl website really helpful. Called them up one day and they could provide basically any game on video or dvd.

I know... thats what I have.

By the way.. thats not the Grand Finals... its just a highlights DVD from 97 and 98.

Just checked the Name-A-Game catalogue and they don't have our first game in 1991!!! I'm shattered... i absolutely need to see our first match for premiership points. Hopefully they are still working with channel seven to keep getting these old matches back from the archives and onto DVD and into my lounge room.

These guys are pretty good. My wife got me a copy of "the Jarman Brothers Show" from 1996 against Fitzroy for my birthday a couple of years back. Worth every cent of $35 (even though I didn't pay for it:p )

That's being available for years as first blood (or something similiar). Have a hunt around as I am sure there are a stack of copies out there (VHS that is).

Ezydvd don't even lube first, they just ram you hard with the ridiculously high prices they charge for their dvd's.
Try looking at Big W, Kmart or Jb hi-fi or even www.ebay.com.au first

I can recommend the following internet dvd stores as they always try to get the cheapest possible prices on dvd's
http://www.devoteddvd.com.au
http://atlanticdvd.com.au/

Also you can ask atlanticdvd for a quote on the prices of any the dvd's that they sell at sportsdelivered and you'll find that their prices are slightly cheaper or the same price as sportsdelivered

Cheapest prices I found (but a very limited stock - mainly GF's, the triple triumph pack and some of the season review ones) are down at Marion in a video / dvd stall that is in the main walkway. It does move around places but I do remember seeing it last week still there.

WARNING: This pack is NOT the grand finals. It's just a season highlights package from the two premiership years.

I have the round 1 1991 on VHS that was recorded from the TV. I can transfer it onto DVD it will look okay, obviously not as good as if you could a master copy on DVD.

I even remember the crappy opening promo for the game for some reason it has been permanently embedded into my mind.

For years they have taken our young guns
and favourite sons
and called them their own
but now we're there
fair and square
and by god we are there to win
so bounce the ball
and watch em fall
its time for Adelaide to play football.

Ezydvd can be alright. Depends on what you want. Big W usually are cheaper but they don't always have the stuff in stock.
