The AFL need to fund a real high quality AFL game, it would do a hell of a lot more for the game than a match in China would do, imagine a quality AFL game by EA, played by people around the world.

Didn't get number one, but will definitely get this one. Just gotta hope as the years go by the demand is there and therefore the studios can spend some big $$$ on the game and we get an game on par with FIFA.

All I have to day is Jeremy HowePeople complaining about the number of speckys in the AFL Live 2 trailer and thinks that therefore the actual game will have that many should check out how many were in the trailer for the original!
Overall the trailer for the original does look better. But all that proves is that their trailer is better.

If it's a quality game people will play it, FIFA isn't only played by soccer fans, NBA 2k games aren't only played by basketball fans.

I'm not talking about people who aren't fans, I'm talking about people who have no idea what Aussie Rules is. Few people would never have heard of basketball or soccer, but plenty would have no idea about Aussie Rules. It's a brilliant game Aussie Rules as we know, but bar some amateur OS leagues, we're the only ones that play it.

I'm not associated with this game (even though I do have a games development software, if it was me who made this game it will be absolutely shit...

Alright, fair to say I've been one of the more positive ones on this thread, saying don't judge the game till it comes out or at least get a trailer yadda yadda yadda.
After seeing the trailer, my confidence has taken a huge blow. It appears that gameplay will struggle if features such as
- Players bending over before the specky has been taken
- 5 players chasing a single player
- The apparent ability of players to bounce off then materialize back to the players again
that have been seen in the trailer are reflected in the game. Graphics look average at best, tried it in HD which resulted in a little improvement but not much. One of the real things I noticed is how close players get to the man on the mark when kicking, they usually end up kicking around the man on the mark rather than over them given how close they are.
Verdict: What we should be hoping for is a fun, almost arcade style game that's not as close to realism as Big Ants. I still maintain high hopes that career mode will make this game fun to play over a long period of time, although I am considering cancelling my preorder.
