Hey all.. Bloody long time lurker, but first time poster here..

Well I'm probably in the same boat as everyone else here, but after 18 months of watching and waiting the time has nearly arrived for us Taswegians to enjoy this game in 3D by combining our 2 heads!!..

Unfortunately as usual, Tassie has no stocks of this game yet so ringing around and asking is only wasting phone calls.. I have been highly impressed with how this game is panning out and going by this thread, if the commentary is the only downfall then Ross and the others involved in this have hit the nail on the head for this game..

I am also impressed (but in some ways let down), that noone has uploaded this game anywhere yet.. It usually doesn't take long for any game to end up on the net from day one if not earlier.. I have it pre ordered for all consoles, but I'm hanging to play it NOW!!..

Can't wait to see Port smash the Hawks at Aurora as the first match!!..

I went to traralgon EB, they said they wont get it till wednesday same with dick smith.
 
If stock was delivered on weekends we would all be definitely be playing the game tonight. My only problem is that my EB doesn't have much of a clue and are pretty set on the 21st.

I asked if they have any stock in and they said no it comes out the 21st. The sooner the nationwide email goes out the better.
 
Jeez cant leave these boards for more than 5 hours apparently if you do 10 extra pages await!

Anyhow, went into EB near my house and spoke to the manager and asked if there is a chance of early release date because it has been selling across WA in several stores. He said that it isnt in stock in any VIC EB store until at least tomorrow afternoon. He also said theres a 95% chance that some moron from probably a Big W or GAME will break the date tomorrow and in which case, if I hear about it to call him, and he will get it validated, then if stock is in store at that point, he will sell me my copy!

So more or less, he reckons everyone in Vic who has pre ordered WILL have this game BEFORE Thursday. Good news I reckon.
 
just rang morwell, they arent selling it untill the 21st, said that places that are selling it are doing the WRONG thing, but the wii version is coming out on the 20th
 
Looks like gippsland will have to wait until the actual release date. which doesn't bother me, because now atleast we know when its coming out and gives me time to relax! :D

Carlingford Court EB = stock tomorrow. Was told that if there was really a release date break (which there is) they would most likely start selling right away.

I don't think there is an option to toggle 50m penalties, but they are in the game. Mark protection on means you can encroach the mark. Turn it off, you can and then you can give away 50s.

Also, if a team has marked, you can bump and put down one of their teammates and give away 50 that way. Haven't found out any other method to do so.

I started on Pro with 10 min quarters, and had a great first game against PA. Even tustle, game flowed back and forth. AI would miss some shots, nail others. Able to mark well but not too much.

Then I played a 2nd game against Fremantle. Absolutely destroyed them. Maybe it was the momentum thing but I stopped enjoying it as it was way too easy. Kicked about 9 goals with Josh Kennedy, 5 or 6 with Jack Darling, 5 with Naitanui, all in one game.

Decided to start a new season on a higher difficulty. Chose Veteran and started a 2011 season controlling both St Kilda and West Coast. Played Geelong first up and once they got on top, I couldn't reel them back at the Saints.

Tried harder as Eagles vs NM, but had to concentrate very hard to win 11.14 to 13.1. So I've hit my first real gripe and that is AI difficulty.

At Veteran level, as soon as they get any chance to kick it, they pinpoint probably 90% of their kicks and mark and then just do that all the way forward and basically never miss a set shot.

I find it impossible to mark if the AI is on me, as they just spoil it. I hit the post about 6 or 7 times and really had to work for my goals.

Also, the game was pretty much played in my forward half, with my forwards and their defenders easily racking up game high possessions.

So, I'm going to go back to Pro, which at least in my first game seemed much more realistic. Maybe I've worked out this game too quickly. My real feeling is that multiplayer or online will see the best out of this game.

Also, found that 5 min quarters, simmed AI games have very low scores. Brisbane beat Fremantle 68-18. Will keep playing around and see how it goes.
 
To add to the ****ing frustration, the stuff-up with the NAB over the weekend means I haven't been paid yet. This is turning out to be one shit day.
 
so i have decided to message the region manager on facebook to see if he can find out if its broken whether morwell or traralgon can sell it.
 
Looks like we are going to be at part 20 by the end of today, we smashed through this thread in 2 days, surely some sort of record?

Its not a good record I reckon. People are getting so desperate for this game even though we will all have it in 4 days! Seriously it cannot be that UNBEARABLE at this point to not have it? Been 5 years since any AFL game came out on a console......makes you wonder what would happen if the game was pushed back ;)

JB Hi fi and game traders in chaddy both said as soon as they get stock tomorrow they will be selling it
 
what are the eb games trading hours for a sunday in perth?
