Ended up kicking 4.3 to Melbourne's 3.8 in the second half. 4 more scoring shots to Melb in that half so it was good to see them not give up completely.

Oh, and don't get me wrong, still love the game and can't wait to get back into some competitive online games when (if :rolleyes:) PSN comes back up.

No, it's being finalised tomorrow.

Ross will likely give the details out then, and then it'll be sent off to MS and Sony for them to QA it and then release it (potential processes being missed here, but that's the basics).

Sad.

Just had a game, guy raged as I was beating him 113 to 30 and was about to have a shot at goal. My goal kicking accuracy was great but Anthony was absolutely pathetic, missed 4 open goals from a few metres. Also the guy I versed kind of walked up to where i was on the mark and blocked a probable goal.

Yes I dominated him but I'm still annoyed haha.

ID: SupposedGrunt4 - anyone on here?

Note: didn't have much lag, and the play on rule needs to be checked (if it hasn't). He definitely played on, I tackled him. He got up and ran again (probably should have stopped) but i tackled him again and he got a goal out of it.
 
well with my edited down Sydney team I lost to Brisbane and lost to Geelong by 12 points both were close games, then I was 30 points up at half time against North Melbourne but it just gets so hard to score in the second half and ended up winning by just 3 points, was a nerve racking end to the game.

I seriously hope I can use my edited teams in season mode after this patch coz I'm loving how close it is now.
 
Was beating some kid 68-0 when he quit then invited me to his party. He then accused me of cheating and being a sad 40 year old ****. :D
 
Had a bit of an odd game. After the big belting by GC on legend and my good online win I went back to my freo season on legend to just get some form going.

Hardest game (based on my skill level now vs first game with no experience) and I dont know why. I just beat Carlton by 90 but with a stronger freo side against a weaker Melb side, I only win by 8 and thats probably thanks to poor kicking by Melbourne?

Very frustrating to see them break tackles and then get caught but no decision then I do it and its holding the ball. Also how they manage these precision handballs when they get tackled one after another. Dodgy decisions and the sudden difficulty increase made it pretty fun though, haven't really had to fight to win a game for a while.
 
I'm mostly finding the game fairly easy but there are times when the AI runs all over me, which is good for that longevity and variation. I certainly don't want to be flogging the AI every game like I did to Brisbane today (won 214-37), but there are those certain games where the AI just dominates and nothing for me clicks, like when I faced Collingwood the other day (lost by exactly 100 points and got r*ped in disposals and marks inside 50).

Also, I almost kicked goal of the century today. I was playing as Hawthorn and Chance Bateman picked up the ball in the defensive 50, ran down the wing and inside the fwd 50... then hit the post. :rolleyes:

just wodering why when i traded roughead to gold coast and fevola to collingwood while playing as crows when i check the stats to see who they went they didnt even play but when i versed them they were full forward for the teams?

Teams don't change when you play the season. You need to do a custom comp to play edited teams.
 
Be cool if their was a quick kickin feature, as in you could have your player standing behind the goals when a shot is being taken and he can pick the ball up from the bag/catch missed shot and play on before zone is set.

Also tackling wise, I don't get tackled completely all that much, I'm just practicing basic kicking/handpass accuracy/goal kicking accuracy on a easier difficulty where I get lots of time and only have to handpass to space to avoid a tackle.

On top of that kick along ground is one of the best things to use.
 
Hey guys! Kinad off-topic but anybody got any news on this PSN issue and whether we will be getting a patch for AFL Live once the PSN is back online?

Can anyone confirm if the brownlow medalist always wins the norm smith? I noticed a few days ago someone said he'd won the norm smith with (Cloke maybe?) a player who didnt even play in the GF.

Also, can you see anywhere who's leading the brownlow during the season? or is it only when it's been announced (much like the real comp)

It'd be interesting to know whether Nick Riewoldt was getting brownlow votes for 15 posessions and 2 goals, or Kozzi for 8 possessions and 6 goals.

Yeah thats awesome and to top it off with PSN down there's no way to remove credit card details from your account, nice work Sony really glad I changed from Microsoft now...
 
19 games into my Collingwood season (19-0) on Veteran and I think Leon is on track for a Brownlow and Didak for goals (Leads the AFL with 62, next highest is Leon on 50 and highest non-Pies player is Bradshaw on 30). But Swanny is still coming through, got 34 touches against GC on 5 min quarters before that highest I had ever seen on that quarter length was Leon with 26 against Carlton the week prior and he had 8 goals!!! I wanna see their statues in the Trophy Room!!!

yeah i no that, i was playing a custom season as the crows and gold coast had roughead on their team list, the stats showed him as a gold coast player but he wasnt being picked,when i played gold coast he was their full forward and then the next week he was out again.

Picked up 33 touches with Krakouer off the wing the other day on Vetren 5 min quarters.

And complete gumbies taking out the brownlow??? (i.e eddie betts). How does this happen?

Combined with other 'little things' like players kicking with their wrong foot, wrong names and many more mindless screw ups. The game reaks of unprofessionalism.... :mad:
