Did you turn the LTE off ?
4G not available in Dampier. So it drops down to ol 3G anyways.

With LTE on in Gero it wouldnt pick up any 4G Reception so again was 3G only.

The 3G speed on 4G phones is quicker from what I've found though

i think its got something to do with whether its HSDPA or HSDPA+2 which is an upgraded (newest) version of 3G. My town only has actual LTE in our 'CBD'. rest of the town will strtuggle to pick it up.

watched second half of North game when i arrived to work at mine site.
iPhone 5 on 3G, 3 bars, Quality was high. no dropouts. worked seamlessly.

Last week tried to use it to watch WCE v Freo whilst in Geraldton motel, Terrible is an understatement. 5 bars, middle of town, kept dropping quality and rewinding before jumping forwadrd randomy. Thats when i could get anything to show at all.

Mining workers represent! I work at a mine too, where you based caroma?

haha. I was a little inaccurate there. I work in Dampier at an Iron Ore port, where the dirt goes onto the ships. Technically a mine site, but not exactly a mine.

I had pretty excellent quality on the iPad. Have any of you guys paid for the subscription via iTunes and then got it working on an android? Or do you have to pony up $90 for each platform?

How u get wifi working? It says it only works for my Telstra 3G on my iPad...
Is your subscription a carryover from 2012? because if so you will only be able to use 3G if you continue to pay $50 a year, only once you pay the $90 you can use the wi-fi on multiple devices on the same platform

I believe the subscription is not cross platform compatible, so you will have to buy a separate subscription for android.

I have herd a story of somebody that complained to Telstra for falsely advertising about the cross platform compatibility so much that they eventually credited him the money required to buy a second platform subscription. But would you really bother on the phone for that long talking to Telstra?

IPad 2, 3G here and was fine with a few seconds of buffering every now and then.

I bought a one month video subscription on my iPad with my heat in my mouth, as Telstra have a terrible history for this type of service. Can confirm that a subscription on the iPad was also active on my iPhone, and I was impressed with the quality over all. About once per half of footy the feed jumped back about a minute to allow rebuffering, but I prefer that to a pause and spinning wheel - it was just like a random replay.

I had good video watching four different ways: on the iPhone on 3G, on the iPad via a personal hotspot from the iPhone on 3G (both at my kids swimming lesson!), on iPad via wifi at home, and mirrored onto my tv from the iPad via an apple tv. Watched the tigers games the last way, and video quality was good enough that I really didn't think about it. Better than the cricket app IMO.

I'll probably take the annual subscription if the quality stays for the rest of the nab. $90 for the season is a bit steep, but better than the $90 per month for Foxtel.

If you have Telstra internet the T-Box can give you Foxtel with AFL for $50 per month
The basic package is only $19 per month with no contract, Sports pack is $10 per month then AFL during the home & away is $20 per month. I disconnect it when the footy isn't on, but find it a pretty decent way to get every game of AFL for 6 months of the year.

I don't know if they still have it, but I got the pack that has the home phone line, cable internet with 200GB data and T-Box for $100 per month. I reckon that's pretty reasonable and I don't even use the phone line.

I used an iPhone to watch some games early in the season when I was in hospital, later on I got an iPad and watched a few on it and it was perfectly fine for me. I hook up the iPad to the 42" with the HDMI adapter and it's almost as if I'm watching it in Foxtel HD quality.

Does anyone know why the second half replay of rich v north isn't on the afl app?? Also I work away most of the year in country qld, is the afl site the best/quickest to watch replays on?? Sound like you guys are in the know..
NM v RFC 2nd half

Rustof - figured out how to get the URL for it finally

Couldnt Watch any of the games on Saturday, would come up with "Can not Load Video". Had to close it from the 'multi-task' section and then do a hard reset. worked after that.
