AFL Live interchange D-pad

Anyone actually use it? I've half-heartedly tried to use it but it just takes too much attention for mine.

Anyone use it and use it well? Or just let the AI auto-change (or pause and interchange through team line up menu in offline games?).

I think the D-pad would be better served to change tactics or camera angle during the game, rather than interchange.

Thoughts?

I pause and check now and then, and activate the sub sometimes, but generally let the auto interchange do the work.

No idea when you'd have the time to use the dpad, game just moves too quickly.

I generally use it for my sub.

Usually have Matt White as my sub, so can sub him on to HBF or Wing or something pretty quickly at an opposition set shot or ruck contest.

But as I said in the wishlist thread the game is a bit too fast moving for it to really be of any genuine use so as to take those 4 buttons away.

I use high auto-interchange and never use my sub except for extreme injuries. mainly because i can't do the Dpad while playing Legendary yet and if i do it through the pause menu the game freezes

Also be good to see all players at once on like a coaches white board, then swap the players with a click on each. Yes it would take up more screen but no scrolling would be required so it would be much quicker.

I have neve used it. It is rather annoying if I accidentally press it during a game.

Just press left on the d-pad if you accidentally use it - Will cancel it and remove the graphic from the screen.

Yeah i've never used it. High rotations seems to do the job.

I'd love to be able to set my midfield rotation players in advance though. That's really the only position i'd love to have manual control over. So often i'll see my back up ruckman playing as a midfielder or something silly like that.

I'd love to be able to have depth charts for rover, ruck rover and centre, where you can list 3 players for each position so that will rotate through, and you wont get stuck with the wrong kind of player in there.

Happens all the time with Nic Nat. That said, even if it's not by design it's one case where it's pretty true to life haha

I use it a fair bit. I try to mainly do it at the centre bounce, or while the opposition is taking a shot at goal.
I suggested to Ross a while ago to allow it during the goal/behind cutscene and replay. Not sure if it made it into the patch though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's the only place you can see the players' remaining stamina. You can't check that in the pause menu can you?
