Finally some value for my team. I have put 500 on IAS at 2.03 and will put another 500 during the weekend if it gets out further. If it gets up will invest it further on the brownlow for kerr/judd and premiership.
They drifted out to 2.18 earlier today on Betfair, so chucked some more on them at that price. Got average odds of 2.10 though.

West Coast have to lose sometime, and it'll most likely be this week. But I don't think West Coast should be outsiders here against a team that's beaten noone.

Had a good week last week with lots of outsiders getting up, 4 out of 5 of my bets won :thumbsu:

Other bets:
Got $300 on the Kangaroos tonight (at 1.95), but wouldn't be surprised if Essendon got up - it will be tough for the Kangas to win 4 in a row. They should win though.
Collingwood 40+ (at 3.60) - Carlton are pathetic, they could get close but a blowout is fairly likely.
Port 40+ (1.95) - Only chucking $50 on this, Richmond will try but just aren't good enough.
Brisbane (1.76) - Decent odds at the Gabba, Adelaide will be back soon but this week they may struggle.
Melbourne (2.92) - $250 on this - risky bet but the Bulldogs are coming back from Subi and aren't playing all that well - Melbourne will be hungry.

Going to chuck $15 on this multi:

-WCE to beat Geelong @ $2.00
-Collingwood to beat Carlton under 39.5 @ $2.25
-Port to beat Richmond over 39.5 @ $1.95
-Western Bulldogs to beat Melbourne @ $1.42
-Fremantle to beat Hawthorn under 39.5 @ $2.20

Combined odds of $27.41-put $15 on, return of $411.15-happy with that, a bit iffy about one or 2 of the bets but it has a pretty good chance of getting up IMO.

I think melbourne is a value bet. All good ones johnnyhoward. I am not so confident on the kangaroos tonight thought :o
With the form the Bombers are in, there's no way they should be even odds with the Roos. If the Roos were 1.80 I'd still take them.

I know what you mean though, the Kangas are the most unreliable team ever - I backed them in Round 1 when they choked against Collingwood :thumbsd: I also backed them when they almost choked last week. :o So they really are a bad team to bet on, but I can't resist :)

I am playing BIG on brisbane this week...what about you johnny? you being a st kilda fan what are your thoughts on saints against sydney?
I've got $100 on the Lions but the odds seem to be getting shorter so I may leave it at that.

You can get some decent odds on the Saints at home (about 2.10) but I'm not confident enough to put money on it. I think defensively the Swans will be able to cover us - if we had GT's attacking game plan we would have been a better chance. Plus our backline looks suspect in its current state.

So I wouldn't advise putting money on us, but if Sydney are a little bit off their game like last week we may surprise them.

Got on the Swans and Power both at $2.50 for under 39.5.

The Swans were embarrassed after their performance at the dome last week and I expect them to come out firing. Power should win easily but I think we'll see some definite fight from Richmond who won't let it be a thrashing.

Also got on Pies at $4.10 over 39.5 on Betfair last night. Very tempting so I put just a little bit on that one :p. Currently at $4.20.

Today I had $200 on the Pies at 1.55, as well as $100 on them over 39.5 points (at 4.30). So disappointing, I ended up about $6 ahead :D...The Pies were up by more than 6 goals with 3 minutes left, they just needed one more and I would have received a tidy payout. Fortunately, my win on the Roos means I'm going well this weekend.

I was on Brisbane early in the week but laid them off - not that confident they will win. I've got a big stake on the Eagles though, as well as a decent bet on Melbourne and a small stake on Hawthorn. I think West Coast may even be a show over 39.5, paying around 8.40.

Off to the game, go Saints.

Kangas game aside :p its looking pretty bad mate .I am not in the same boat as well

Just got home from the game, what a win it was too by the Sainters :thumbsu:

Anyway these have been my bets this week:
$300 on the Kangas at 1.97 :thumbsu:
$200 on the Pies at 1.55 :thumbsu:
$100 on the Pies over 39 at 4.30 :thumbsd:
$50 on Port 40+ at 1.95 :thumbsu:

I did have $100 on the Lions early in the week but as I said I laid them off...and lucky I did! They were beaten easily by the sounds of it. So I ended up losing $3 on that game, would have made $4 if the Lions got up, lol.

And tomorrow, I have:
$300 on West Coast at 2.10
$250 on Melbourne at 2.92
$100 on Hawthorn +15.5 at 1.90

So I need at least one of those to get up to make a profit for the weekend. I don't know if West Coast are going to try or not but they are at big odds. Melbourne are an unreliable team to bet on, so are Hawthorn. There's a chance I could go 0-3 tomorrow, but I'm prepared for that.

Well, for our sake TP I hope the Coasters can get up. :)

GeneralDisarray - that's shattering. I was on the other side of that bet but geez you were stiff. Also where has Gets! been this week with his bets? I wonder if he got on the Crows?
