I'm having my first profitable week in probably a month, now that I'm going for teams paying $1.90+ as opposed to $2+. Got North @ $1.91, Geelong @ $1.92 and Adelaide @ $2.10. Just missed Sydney at $1.90.

Why do I bet on Melbourne?

At three quarter time of the Melbourne game I knew they were gonna lose, so to chase my losses, I chucked $100 on the Hawks at 2.96 to go with my +15.5 bet on them - they better win or else I'll be behind by $400 for the weekend.

Bulldogs to beat Melbourne and Freo to beat Hawthorn.

Been so busy the last few weeks and havent punted at all basically!

Hopefully Freo can get over the line.

Why do I bet on Melbourne?

Wow, you are brave johnny. I gave up on fremantle but the have bounced back and leveled the scores. Never know with freo. But i guess you are well set with the line betting

Well there goes my weekend - lost $400 which is pretty disappointing. Hawthorn suck, going from a 35-8 lead to trailing by 4 points in the space of 10 minutes.

Even more pathetic than Melbourne.

Freo would be favourites in the live betting, I think they were about 1.60 at half time. Freo are more gutless but they are playing at home, which tilts things heavily in their favour.

I would have been happier if the Hawks and Dees both lost by 100 than to get so close.

Agreed its painful, i never really go for handicap or margin betting anymore, i feel head to head multi is a lot easier than margin betting.

I think margins are a good option with teams like Sydney or Adelaide.

-WCE to beat Geelong @ $2.00
-Collingwood to beat Carlton under 39.5 @ $2.25
-Port to beat Richmond over 39.5 @ $1.95
-Western Bulldogs to beat Melbourne @ $1.42
-Fremantle to beat Hawthorn under 39.5 @ $2.20

Combined odds of $27.41-put $15 on, return of $411.15-happy with that, a bit iffy about one or 2 of the bets but it has a pretty good chance of getting up IMO.

Yeah, I had Geelong under 39. Stokes I think had a shot on the final siren and couldn't make the distance. (Couldn't believe it). Had Dogs and Freo by under 39 also but stuffed up on EPL where the big three all drew(Man U lost)
