Bec Goddard was looking like she could have been the one to change it but I think she has gone as far as she is capable as a coach. Probably knew it too which is fine. At the very least it'll give the women's program a boost over West. Generate a bit more interest than otherwise. Maybe sign a few decent players over the next couple of seasons.Ideally, AFLW progresses to the point that credits in the bank as a coach at AFLW level is seen as a credit at AFL level.
I doubt it is at the moment, but hopefully Daisy changes that.

I reckon Emma Kearney will be the one to make the transitionBec Goddard was looking like she could have been the one to change it but I think she has gone as far as she is capable as a coach. Good call. Agree with that.I reckon Emma Kearney will be the one to make the transition

Don't count out Alicia Eva. Has been coaching in the male space since before AFLW started, and had been intending to quit playing to concentrate on a career in coaching before AFLW came along.I reckon Emma Kearney will be the one to make the transition

Just over 1 hour to go
Seems like a lot of deals still to be done
Like I said...I'll take a bet and say they've all been done (i.e. Lamb to Port, Gay to Essendon), just the AFL spacing out the stories and creating the illusion of "last minute drama/deals".

what time is the draft on monday?
Why do they delay? should just live stream7pm* AEDT
*The time it airs on the AFL website, but like the previous couple of AFLW drafts, actually conducted earlier in the day.
Combination of a few things. Why do they delay? should just live stream
So it will be held at 7pm AEST, and broadcast an hour earlier at 7pm AEDT. Crystal clear! When is it?
The draft will be held on Monday December 18 from 7pm AEST.
How can I watch it?
It will be broadcast nationally on the AFL and AFLW websites and apps from 7:00pm AEDT on Monday, December 18.
How will clubs lodge their selections?
Clubs will all be at Marvel Stadium to submit their picks live.
Not sure what the sense was in lions giving up pick 12 when we have only 2 list spots
There can still be further delistings as well.Brisbane was the final side to approve the trade and had been seen by the other 10 clubs involved as being the sticking point in negotiations, given it would ultimately trade out pick No.12 for later selections as part of the discussions.
However, in the knowledge it would have Northern Academy players to match bids on ahead of next Monday night's AFLW draft, Brisbane eventually accepted the proposal and the League's officials gave the deal the green light shortly after.
I'm glad I'm not going nuts. I swear I read that this morning, except when I read it, it said a minimum of three with at least 2 via the draft.Did they backflip on min selections per club this year?
In an earlier article they mentioned only 2 picks min which made sense as the aflw has reduced list sizes
But today they are saying 3 min (only 1 needs to be via the draft the rest can be undrafted free agents)
What picks does my team have?
Each club must take a minimum two picks to the draft, and at least two players must be taken via the draft. After that, there is an option to pass on one or two of the club's final selections to sign an undrafted free agent, or someone who nominated for the draft in another state but were not selected. Should a club want to take two players as undrafted free agents, they must take a minimum of four picks to the draft.
