I'll admit I haven't watched a lot of AFLW over the years, and whenever I had it always seemed to be such a slog. Lots of dump kicks forward etc.
But there's so much more skill now, it's so enjoyable to watch.

Helps when your team is playing well too of course.

I'll admit I haven't watched a lot of AFLW over the years, and whenever I had it always seemed to be such a slog. Lots of dump kicks forward etc.
But there's so much more skill now, it's so enjoyable to watch.

And it’s only going to get better

The kids that are coming through nationwide are footballers through and through.

The comp 100% expanded way too quickly but it’ll get there - as long as people understand this footy isn’t the same game as the men’s.

Understandable mate, it's good to see more members start to take an interest in the Women's game, it's had a giant leap in quality and watch ability this year. There's a whole gang of us that have been watching in futility as we struggled through the first 5 or 6 seasons but it's starting to really get goooooood. Get around the girls mate they sincerely deserve it!!

That was a really good first half of football. Collingwood were maniacal at the ball early. I'm impressed how we lifted. I look forward to seeing Thomas' mark and Rentch's bump on Remmos over and over again.

You’re right, it was a tough watch a few years ago but the skill level has raised massively, they’ve cut down on the number of stoppages and the players are fitter and better able to run games out now.

Hopefully more people who tuned into the first glimpses of AFLW and had the same impression as you will give it a second chance.

Would it make more sense to make it a 40m penalty? Or eventually a larger majority of the girls will be able to kick far enough for it to not be an issue?

Yeah they’ll be ok - the younger ones can kick decent distances

Just need to get 18 on the park however. 16 is stupid
