Scrappy, but close

I am surprised how well - and in the short space of a year - the women have adapted to the ground ball. The last time I watched this game there were near on head collisions that would've resulted in instant KO's. The women seem to of adapted, and they are slowing down around the contest. I am impressed by that. The men's game has been slow to adapt. They are getting there, but it has taken them a long time.

I doubt their skills have improved at all. Most of them are not footballers. They have been playing their natural sports since the AFLW ended until now - Basketball, Netball, Athletics, Hockey, etc...
Disagree. If you run your eye over the list of players out there today, many are playing their respective state league comps.

Quality has been pretty good so far

Not sure what other options she had. Probably could have kicked to a pocket, but her team mates were 1-on-1 with opponents. It's an exhibition game anyway, would have been a huge highlight had she nailed it
She was ten meters too far out to kick the sausage roll.
She had time to wave her hands to a player to move to aside to kick to.
