Collingwood are closing in on deals to secure Adam Treloar, Jeremy Howe and James Aish through a series of intertwined trades after the Brisbane Lions mellowed on their stance that they would not trade Aish.

Aish toured the Magpies' facilities on the Yarra on Friday as the Magpies entered negotiations with the Lions and Carlton over a three-way trade involving Tom Bell moving to the Lions and Collingwood trading a second-round pick to the Blues.

Collingwood and Melbourne were also locked in negotiations over what could become a multi-club deal for Howe to move to Collingwood, Jimmy Toumpas to move to Port Adelaide, Paul Seedsman to Adelaide and Ben Kennedy to the Demons.

A complicated exchange of second- and third-round draft picks is also involved in the mega deal.

Greater Western Sydney also appeared to have agreed in principle with Collingwood's offer for Treloar involving the Magpies' first-round draft picks this year and next, but the clubs were still thrashing out the detail of which draft pick the Giants would also give back in the exchange.

Adelaide have offered pick 32 for Seedsman, which would potentially be passed on to Port Adelaide as part of the deal to get Toumpas to Port and Ben Kennedy to Melbourne, along with Howe's move to the Magpies.

Do you know how good average players look in dominate premiership teams... When Fasolo came in he looked like an absolute jet when we were smashing teams by 50-60 every week. Anderson will be the same story. Now he doesn't have Hawks precision kicking shoving it down his throat and one of the most organised game plans in football history he will just an ok player at best.

Ok maybe you can offer him more coin but why wait until now to put your mega $ offer to him? I would have thought you needed to do this prior to him naming his preference. Fail.

You may also be able to offer Brisbane a better deal but this is a moot point if said player doesn't want to go there. Fail

Just to round this off you guys are missing a few pieces of the puzzle that helps us get this over the line. Aish's best bud Scharenberg plays for us, he wants to play under Nathan Buckley (also our coach) and even though I think North could pinch one next year he wants to play at a club which will give him a sustained chance of winning finals (2017-2020 window) with a young group all hitting their prime at similar times. Fail

By the way you do know that Pickers manages both Aish and Bastinac yeah? He will get his client to his preference (Pies) and he will get Bastinac to a destination where he will get more opportunities (Brisbane) which he wants.
