Ill wear 2 as possibly irrelevant.

But 3 and 4 are very relevant.

Lets take the Anderson trade. 15 looks a lot right. But we are dealing with Bris who need points. We got 38 and 40 with Anderson. Points wise thats equal to pick 21. And who has 21 ...... Bris.

Any team not exploring the possibility of working with academy clubs this year is missing half of the trade period.

To blow you mind:
Lets say Aish goes to Bris and they get 26 in there from you.

Do you realise Basti, 38, 40, 43 for 17,21
is better for Bris than
Basti for 26
??

Thats todays landscape, clubs need to adapt quickly!

I realise that....do you realise Collingwood second rounders in the 20s are also greater than your 40s picks?
Not to mention our plethora of second rounders can not only secure them academy products but also the experienced guys they are chasing and one who is a certainty to get there, Tom Bell.

Do you know how many second round picks Collingwood have or are getting from other trades

I'll make it easy for you.
What ever picks North can offer up Collingwood can better it, and that is what we call ...... A Fact!!

While all that is true, like GWS don't seem to understand; you don't get to take the deal that suits you best.

In the current environment the players have the power, and Aish wants to be a Pie. Talks are progressing well and there is every indication he will get where he wants to go.

(Not coming in here to troll/argue, white flag is rasied here)

How does the bolded statement work where Collingwood is asking Adelaide for their pick 28 rather than the pick 32 they are offering for Seeds?

I don't really think that is going to be of a great concern to us. Hardly here or there between pick 28 to 32.

He'll get there, we're negotiating over compensation. What we're not doing is pretending that if we don't get the deal we want from Adelaide, we can send him without his consent to GC or North.

Partially agreed, Bell and 26 will most likely land Aish. But is it better than Basti and 21? (using 38 and 40 for points equivelent to 21)

We are happy to send him to Adelaide, just negotiating the price. Straight forward.

Because the actual trade has been agreed to, its just a negotiation over the price

It is when you factor in that it will most likely be 24 and 26 going to Brisbane, one of those picks going to Carlton and Aish going to Pies.

I think that's called negotiation. It would be different if we were asking for Port Adelaide's second rounder if they were offering that

Thats what i said.

24 used for Bell
26 to Bris

Nets them Bell and 26 for Aish

Our offer is Basti and 21

its competitive

Lots of competitive offers would have been put to Adelaide for Dangerfield. More money for Danger, too, than what Geelong will pay him. That's where he wanted to play, however.

Yup, Aish makes the call, not Bris.

Happy to do 17,21 for Basti 38, 40, 43 and re invest in the draft if Aish wont play.

Picks 24 and 26 is equivalent to pick 9. Is Bastinac plus 21 better than that?

dont shoot the messenger. Dont get cut, its not a footy match.
No matter what your offering to Brisbane, even in the unlikely event it was better then North or another club which I cant say which it is, they will not do a deal with you.
Deal will be done by Tuesday, only thing saving you would be how cheap you get Trelor and some other clubs deals happening before then.
until then your just holding AK before the flop.

And there's the obligatory out clause when for it doesn't happen

Basti, 38, 40 is superior to any offer currently mentioned from the pies.

Please remember Bris is after points not draft position.

All that said we can offer the world and if Aish says no its not going to happen.

Bastinac is shit. Not worth a 3rd rounder. Pickering has said he has no interest in North so run along.

Feeling edgy are we :)

Its some harmless competition, gives Bris some options, just means you pay a fair price.

We were always paying a fair price that's how trades get done.

But I guess years of being bent over by hawthorn indicate your club has nfi. First round pick in a weak draft for an injury prone player who can't get a game? Did hay and Thompson teach you nothing.

Still Gibbo and hale thank you.

Bent over??

Pick 15 for Anderson and pick 21 in points.... yup robbed there LOL
