Glenn Archer just said...

"Didak for Brown"

You have to be f****** joking:mad:

Mate, I understand what you're saying. I never mentioned he was necessarily a bad person BUT - and it's a big BUT - when you get involved in that many incidents as he has you have got to wonder if he gets up to too much mischief for his own good. Of course, you should stick the blame on the people who committed the crimes but was accepting a lift from a total stranger the wisest of decisions? Was getting in a car with a drunk the brightest idea? Sorry, but there are too many question marks over his head for my liking.

I know myself I have been to parties and have been in cars with people I didn't know. Do I regret going with the flow and having some fun every now and then? No, and I would object to people telling me I couldn't. I think we are far too intrusive in telling footy players what they should and shouldn't be doing and it's becoming like Big Brother (Orwell not Gretel). Didak should have told Shaw not to drive, but ultimately Heath Shaw is responsible for Heath Shaw, not Allan Didak. I'm not saying Didak is an angel, just that his bad boy reputation seems to greatly exceed his actual sins.

2 random thoughts.

1. Didak has proven himself to be dishonest now... does this cast doubts over his 'innocent' encounter with Hudson.

2. Collingwood just signed him onto a new deal for 400k a year. His value has probably plummeted now. If Collingwood trade him, they may end up having to pay part of his salary at his new club.

Hook, line & sinker!

I know, but a person trying to be a serious journalist shouldn't even say Brown and Didak in the same sentence.

This is the last draft before Gold Coast enter, why are we wating our time even talking about Didak or Cousins? We need top 20 youth, guys that are going to grow into midfielders who can win the ball and then dispose of it with higher efficiency for the next decade.

If a Brown trade was to happen you would think Didak would go home to SA for draft picks that would be on traded to Brisbane

If it HAD to happen (i.e. Brown demanded a trade to the Pies).

Brisbane get Port's first pick (4) and Collingwood's first pick (8)

Port gets Didak and Collingwood's Second Pick (24)

Collingwood get Brown and Port's third pick (36)

Trades do my head in... someone is probably getting shafted in that deal.

I rate Didak highly (he would be close to Collingwood's best player) and you'd think he would thrive playing with Brown and Bradshaw. If people think we need to be aggressive with trading then this is a player that we should be looking at. He suits our needs perfectly (mid/small forward with excellent skills), his price will be reduced, and his on field performance has never been an issue.

Agree completely Grimboid.

Any plan based around getting Didak must require us keeping Brown though too. Otherwise we're going backwards.

Ok then, a few more options.

Dalziell and your 1st rounder.

Sherman or Leuenberger straight up.

Rishitelli or Adcock and your 2nd rounder.

All of these would probably get it done. :thumbsu:

Basically we want class mids. Badly.
