Photographing spirits and ghosts to make them disappear = ok

Shining a flashlight on ghosts and spirits (obviously the tractor is a spirit) that are susceptible to light = not ok

I've praised other 360 games in the past, yet that gets totally ignored and when there's a game that looks blantantly shit on the 360 I'm a troll again.

I never said your opinion doesn't count, but I think your reasoning is BS

If you're picking shit at a game because there is a tractor the guy destroys with a torch, it's a stupid reason as far as I'm concerned.

It's a horror game, if you watch horror movies, all sorts of weird and strange things happen, particularly in Stephen King films, and this is all reports much like a King novel.

I only pushed the issue with you because of your juvenille responses with no substance:

Doesn't have to make sense, it's a video game.

You should read more Stephen King books (or watch their adaptations).

I'm sure a tractor being controlled by a paranormal apparition of some sort isn't the most fantastical thing to feature in a video game.

Personally, I'd rather Alan Wake as is because what is the alternative? A third person shooter of a guy stuck in a dark forest shooting at normal people? Sounds pretty generic and boring to me, then again so does the concept of making a movie and chucking in QTE's, so maybe I'm just weird.
 
Reflecting on my previous comments, a flashlight is a cool weapon.

Going back and watching Giant Bombs Quick Look of Silent Hill Wii and how awesome that looked. But still, that tractor thing was stupid.

i agree it looked kind of lame (the footage you posted) but as if you think the game won't be amazing.
i bought heavy rain just for the story and ended up loving everything about it.

this is a game that if i had a 360 i'd get just for the story as well. (and also most likely end up loving everything about it.)

Alan Wake was rated Teen in America.

So that would be a PG or M here?

Anyway, if your curious:

In this third-person shooter, players assume the role of a writer named Alan Wake who searches for his missing wife in a mysterious lakeside town. Players explore the town and surrounding woods, interact with characters, solve puzzles, and gather clues along the way. Players must battle humanoid enemies known as the "Taken" by using various light sources (flashlights, floodlights, "flahsbang" grenades); they can also use pistols and shotguns to kill the enemies. The Taken react to damage by disappearing in a flash of embers and shadows. Cutscenes also depict the Taken wielding axes and killing characters off-screen. In one sequence, a long blood trail can be seen leading up to a wounded character in a cabin. Some characters smoke cigarettes or reference alcohol and hangovers; one cutscene depicts two drunken characters slurring their speech while conversing (e.g., "I feel like my brain is coming out of my nose. I'm gonna get the recipe off those kooks and be a, a, a booze millionaire!."). Language such as "sh*t," "a*shole," and "b*tch" can be heard in the dialogue.

Well Teen is a broad range, but you could sort of think 15+ish. Which pretty much gives it an M, also the swearing and potential violence will make sure of that. No way it'll get a PG.
 
Been looking forward to this for years, only to find out its not coming to PC. Disappointed.
