Thought I'd make this thread because I find the whole topic of extraterrestrials very interesting, sorry if there was already a thread for this but I can't find one

That frantic caller called back a week later saying he was faking it but he was not to blame for the transmission loss. he found that part of it strange

Yeah I've seen that video, to me it sounded like he was being forced to say it
Haven't seen the video but it wouldn't surprise me.

The US are definitely hiding something to do with other life forms.

Governments can barely manage their own economies, yet we think they have managed to cover up any evidence of aliens visiting Earth. Not likely.

That said, there almost has to be or has already been some form of intelligent life somewhere else.

I thought i had been kidnapped by Aliens

I woke up one morning with a thumping headache all i could remember from the night before was loud noises and flashing lights plus my bum hurt real bad

Figured out later i was at the Love Machine on a Sunday night

Other intelligent lifeforms exist. The absolutely immense size of space makes that a 99% definite. But the chance of them contacting us? Tiny. They've probably come into contact with other alien groups, but just not ours.

Also, why would the government censor that call? Who's genuinely going to believe him? Even if it was the truth, the absolute majority of people are going to disregard it anyway.

Mathematically they have to exist. Thinking they've ever visited us is arrogant.

Agreed, however to think that they would travel many light years to get to us then give us vague appearances in the sky every few months seems to defeat the whole purpose a bit.

See something I don't know what it is, must be aliens. I guess there's a reason they call them unidentified flying objects.
Just a coincident?

Alien life out there? Definitely.
Intelligent Life? Unlikely.

If you think how lucky it was for us to evolve, I can't seeing it happening on another planet. Drake Equation is pretty significant in the sense that there IS something out there, with a possibility of 2.31 planets in our own milky way having life. Doubt they'd be much bigger than plankton though.

I just don't believe that in the whole universe there isn't at least one other intelligent form of life

I awoke one night to see a bright orange light glowing through the curtains over my window. I figured that was pretty strange and got up to investigate. Did I expect to see a UFO hovering above the house or something? I'm not sure, but what I did see was infinitely more terrifying than I could imagine.

My neighbours shed was on fire.

There are billions of galaxies though.

There would have to be life out there. Life forming at some point on other moons and planets in our solar system hasn't been ruled out yet. So if life can form in 2 separate spots at some time in our solar system. The odds are that it would have to form in 1 of the trillions of other solar systems

This has interested me a bit for many years.

Right,

Sometimes you hear scientests and co claim that there are more stars than there are grains of sand in the world. A quick google search just then had a figure of 70 sextillion ( 70000000000000000000000) stars estimated in the entire universe. Obviously this number cannot be actually proven but let's use it as a guide.

Nobody in their right mind can say that out of all those stars, we are the only planet with intelligent life. It's impossible. Personally I think humans on the whole aren't overly smart and there would be much more intelligent and powerful creatures out there. Much, much more powerful.

I suspect we'll never come into contact with them in our lifetime but would love to be alive if it ever did happen. Would be ****en awesome (as long as they were friendly visitors ;-) )

By the way it's quite an old article but still worth a read

With the quoted figure
