With the new Dream Team and Supercoach seasons around the corner, and the meaty part of the offseason underway, it is expected that both opposition supporters and fellow Crows supporters will be interested to know which youngsters are likely to play and where they are likely to play, in pursuit of the next bargain pick. However, posts like these have a habit of dominating a forum, making it less enjoyable for us Crows supporters trying to discuss footy in our little corner of the internet.

For this reason, a sticky thread has been enacted here that is the place to ask any questions about any players on our list.

Any posts made in threads other than the one linked above asking questions related to Dream Team or Supercoach will be moved to the sticky thread, and the poster will attract a YELLOW CARD for their first offence. Further offences will attract a RED CARD. These penalties are non-negotiable and not having read this thread is not an excuse.

If I or any of the other Adelaide mods decide that wayward posts are getting out of hand the punishment will be made more severe, with notice in this thread.

Opposition supporters - coming on here with sneaky questions such as "Hey, how is Myke Cook travelling this season, I'm a big fan?" fools nobody. Even if your intentions are pure, nobody will believe you anyway so if you are genuinely interested, ask in the DT/SC thread.

Oh, and Crows supporters - if you see an instance of someone asking a DT/SC question in the wrong place, please simply report it rather than responding and flaming/redirecting the poster. Flaming the poster will just exacerbate the situation, dragging discussion further off-topic. If you decide you do want to play good Samaritan and redirect the poster your best bet is to send them a PM and recommend they delete their original post and post a new one in the thread before one of us mods see it.

Boo. The group flaming of an unsuspecting newcomer is my favourite Adelaide Board group bonding activity. It's a chance for us to band together and show off how witty and tough we are. Club spirit is on show. As supporters we don't get to take the field so this is our only substitute.

I agree. Bah Humbug. Its almost like we're the 20th man or something.....

Agree wholeheartedly.

Cmndstab, you should put the words DreamTeam / Supercoach in the title of your thread, just to give unsuspecting newbies that extra warning before you card them, and we cane them.

I'm in an UltimateFooty league this year and need to know if Vince is expected to improve anymore

This is laughable, can't believe this would attract a Yellow and or Red card.
Please explain why it is considered such a serious offence. I don't beleive what you have said above justifies in an way, shape or form why the mods have decided on this course of action.

It's important to try to keep posts about Dream Team in one place because the game is widely played and these forums can very quickly become overrun with questions about whether Dangerfield would be a good recruit or not, or how Burton is looking on the track, or if Donnelly is likely to play any time soon. For the actual supporters who want to discuss their team it become a loud distraction - particularly in the preseason when new discussion points are rare - and it's not really what these forums are about.

A yellow card is a very minor, but nonetheless evident, slap on the wrist. People who pick up such an infraction are contacted via PM and the rules are spelt out in no uncertain terms. They are only given a serious (red card) infraction if they choose to again go against the rules that have already been spelt out to them.

, or if Donnelly is likely to play any time soon. .
:confused::rolleyes::p

ps. You could do some more merging of threads to clean this place up (perhaps instead of having x in the SANFL threads everyweek we can have 1 mega thread)
Or we can have 1 reveiw thread post game instead of
"thoughts on the game"
"reveiw"
"The good the bad the ugly"

just some ideas
