Hunter falls into the 1-4 year group and Cheney doesn't so nothing to read into from there.

I would not be surprised if we rookie list him or draft him with one of the late picks. I suspect this would depend on whether or not we do any draft pick trades.

Yeah, if we do a swap of picks that only leaves us with 3 top 21 instead of 4, I'd be hoping we draft him with 72 rather than taking some ridiculous punt.

I reckon Pat Wilson with his straight line approach and big body would make a very good fist of playing a Kyle Cheney type role, with his long raking kick he could pretty quickly turn defence into offence.

I think I'd be worried by his short kicking coming out of defence. Can hoof one, but he's not exactly great with the short stuff.

Cheney has always been a very cool, calm and collected operator. Can defend but can also get us out of tight situations from time to time. Not sure Wilson will be able to emulate this.

Unlike Kyle Cheney Patty Wilson with that "hoof" can break up opposition team's defensive press.....aka Brodie Smith....defence soon becomes attack.
