Well said moginie. The Allies turn out and passion was outstanding which makes it all the more enjoyable.

Massive shout out to Kennedy Parker for leading the troops and adding his typically ripping quality here and the threads. Big shoes to fill Callums_Guns but we are in good hands.

The Allies were unable to qualify for the SoO Series XVI Grand Final after being outplayed in muddy conditions at Cazaly's Stadium. Returning Vice-Captain Callums_Guns got the Allies off to the perfect start with the first goal of the game after a minute and a half but from there it was all WA, as TheInjuryFactory and Ljp86 took control of the midfield and dominated inside 50s. WA were wasteful in front of goal, but two accurate kicks by Metalcrusher gave WA an 11-point lead going into quarter time.

The second quarter started in similar fashion to the first with an early goal to The Filth Wizard cutting the margin to just 4 points. But from then on, WA would take control for the rest of the quarter and this time convert their midfield dominance on the scoreboard, kicking an unanswered 5.4 including a goal after the siren by Barrybran putting the WA lead to a mammoth 38-points.

The Allies had some control of the general play in the third quarter and started well with a Dingster goal, but were unable to generate scoring opportunities. Costly misses by MC Bad Genius and PMBangers at the 15th and 22nd minutes of the quarter meant that WA went into the final quarter with a 30-point lead.

The first goal of the final quarter went to WA through omgfridge extended the margin to 36-points thereby sealing the win for WA. The Allies got consolation goals through Callums_Guns, The Filth Wizard and MC Bad Genius but ultimately fell well short of what was needed to win.

Well it's not our year in the end unfortunately. The series was looking really promising for us halfway through, being two from two and on top of the ladder. But as we know the sim is fickle and after one got away against SA we lost our buffer, and then we had a stinker of a game in the final round to end our series. We had 21 different posters pop into this match thread which is another awesome result. That means Allies turnout over the course of the series has been 21, 20, 19 and 21 which averages out to 20.25. In the part of the game that we can actually control we have absolutely no regrets.

So that'll be it from me, I've had fun leading y'all out, hopefully, you've found this carnival to be enjoyable as well, big props to Guns for backing me up and Ding for giving me the captaincy. Best of luck to everyone for S31 and in 2021.
