Which Davey brother would you pick?

Personally, I would choose Alwyn. Creates more pressure on opponents and loves to tackle.

Alwyn. Seems much more inspirational than Aaron who hasn't been in the spotlight since Alwyn's been drafted

Aaron by the length of Flemington straight.

Revolutionsed the small forward role with his amazing defensive pressure and lightning run downs from behind.

A pioneer.

All the rest are just copying his blueprint.

Aaron was poor last year because of has knee, and started of slowly this year, but his last two or three games have shown why his best is so much better then Alwyns. Just as he was hitting form he did his hammy:o

Guys Aaron is streets ahead of Alwyn. Yes Alywn is perhaps now better at putting on defensive pressure but Aaron is clearly more damaging with his foot skills, not to mention the fact he gets it heaps more. I would rather Aaron Davey get 20 touches in the team that anyone else.

Alwyn puts way more pressure on his opponents.
Remember that play last year when he ran some guy done, then had an inspirational smother?

Wow, has anyone else noticed that the only people that have commented in saying Aaron is better are the Melbourne supporters. In the first half of Alwyns debut season, he had a highlights reel that a player of 200 games could reitre and be happy with. Both are amazing in what they can do, yet im swinging towards Alwyn.

Rather have Alwyn before he did his knee. Alwyn's quicker and otherwise are pretty similar. Not sure if Alwyn will be able to be the same player after his knee injury.

As for Aaron being the pioneer for small forwards, so true, but irrelevant when evaluating who is the better player. Both players have been a constant highlight despite their team's struggles

Aarons absence was a major factor in why we were so pathetic and insipid today. He is probably our second most important player behind rivers.

both very good players! would love to have alwyn at the dees, but you'd have to say aaron is the better of the two.

has been a star for fours years with very little time out of form.

while alwyn has played some great games, he hasn't really had the opportunity to prove himself yet due to injury. when he strings together an entire season and starts to cop the attention that aaron does every week, then perhaps a better comparison can be made.

hope the knees can hold up next year, brilliant to watch!

Did any one watch Aaron last week against the hawks? His skills were incredible and when he plays like that he is just about the best player in the AFL to watch.

in 05 and 06 he Aaron was incredible. But he stuggled in 2007 because he was playing with quite a bad knee injury. And he had a few injury problems through out the Pre-Season and hurt his ankle earlier this year but played through it and he was really starting to hit some form in recent weeks but unfortunetly hurt his hammy but it is only minor and should be back this week or next week.

They are both very good and very exciting players but i think Aaron is(at this stage) a fair bit ahead of Alwyn.

spot on!

Aaron, way more influential to his teams success.

Alwyn gets an amazing exciting goal from a Lloyd drop or Lucas handpass.
He also has great forward line pressure.
I love Alwyn, we need him at Sydney.... But as I think has been mentioned, Aaron is by far the better player.

Aaron gets 20+ class possesions, brakes 5 midfielders ankles and kicks the amazing goal. Also revolutionised the forward pocket position. Doesn't play there anymore but could still do it.
If anyone saw his games against Freo and Hawthorn as he was starting to hit form again will see, that he is one of the best players in the league and is his teams most important player.

Aaron for the time being. Alwyn's shown some real signs of class but can't really string games together as he keeps getting injured. If he can stay fit, I may re-consider.
