Ok first of all, please don't reply or vote unless you were old enough to watch both players in their prime. And yes, I know I spelt Macleod wrong in the heading.
On the one hand Macleod- explosive acceleration and evasiveness, great vision and a wonderful shot at goal on the run. More of a receiver.
Then Bhudda Hocking- ferocious, hard and physical and very tough, leader and more of a contested ball winner. Recent hall of fame-er
But despite their differences, their similarities included equally brilliant disposal under pressure, with both being adept at pin pointing team mates and both came very close to winning brownlows in multiple years.
I can't actually separate them. Maybe Macloed for his longevity (Bhudda's body couldn't hold up the way he played) but if choosing between them in their prime I guess it would depend on what your team needed- a V8 or a Ducati.
Thoughts?
