These types of retirements are becoming far more common in this day and age. Baffled how a bloke like Joel Selwood is still playing after all his knocks to the head.

I didn't know Lumumba retired because of concussions. There is no surer thing then him coming back to sue the AFL for it one day, as well as it being the theme of his third book.

What's also becoming common again is a player suffering a concussion and playing again the following week. Whatever happened to the rule where players had to miss the following week?
