Another Fixtures Whinge Thread

Just going through the fixtures again and it pisses me off that we get so many Sunday Bloody Sunday games.

We have 4 Fri/Sat matches at home.

The Eagles have 9.

We have 12 fri/sat for the season.
The Eagles have have 17.

It is not a dig at the Eagles in anyway or form, it is just logical to compare with them as they are the other Perth team, (and good on them).

I just don't know how the system works and think that from a membership point of view the season package is a lot more attractive with more friday night / saturday games than sunday games.

I'm personally not a fan of Sunday games but we seem to cop quite a few. It's the same problem the Perth Glory has, although people turn up to Fremantle matches.
Late Sunday games are the worst.

I don't mind Sunday afternoon games - certainly makes parking in Subi a lot easier. The Friday nights are too hard to get to and a lot of people work/play sport etc on a Saturday. I think we get better crowds in for the Sunday afternoons matches?

The Sunday games usually start at 2:40pm to suit the eastern states but it's a bit late. 1pm would be much better.

We also play at home on all the long weekends, that's probably my (wife's) biggest bug-bear.

I don't mind Sunday games, but it'd be nice if they started as genuine twilight games - like a 4:30 start.

1pm is way too early.

First thing I noticed about the fixtures was the abundance of Suday games, it's bullshit

Friday night games are a prick because the traffic is a nightmare. Although they would give the club more exposure.

I Dont like them cos i play footy on Sundays. But when im not playint there fine as it gives you something to look forward to as opposed to losing a Friday or Saturday game and spending the rest of the weekend pissed off

ha ha i like your logic. i actually felt that way to but hadn't even realised it.. its the anticipation.


Sunday games are crap for us Eastern states based Freo fans, the twighlight games at 4.40pm finish up about 10.30pm on Sunday nights... which means a hangover on Monday morning.. unless we win
