This is a new season, and we're going to kick things off with a little bit of a change.

This thread is for discussion of the games we aren't playing in. It is not a thread to constantly refer to how well/badly we are going in our own games, nor is it a place to ruin the enjoyment of others with constant jabs or referrals to Carlton's woes.

Any posts that do so continuously will get deleted, and anyone who continues to push the envelope afterwards will find themselves threadbanned.

Thanks all!

Dean Cox.

Cox still learning that Charlie is cooked.

He will kick a bag in 2 weeks time and give the media something to trump on about. Only to revert back to old standards once they play someone good again

No Gulden/Heeney huge losses, had to lead early and cling on for the second half, couldn’t, lost.
Spending big and losing draft picks will naturally deplete any depth they may have previously had.
They still looked impressive at times, but I see a lot of the discipline/quality coming from the horse generation, soon to be shuffled off as time, the western Australian clubs and Tasmania come calling

Since he got injured in the GWS warm up and still played he’s only kicked something like 51 goals in 35 games. Hes never been good at recovering from injuries, and seems a bit of a dumb ass.

This might just be him now, it’s a fairly large sample size. Just Sydney may need to come to the realisation they have given up 3 first rounders and Hayward for a poor man’s Armartey.

It stood out when he was playing for us
Yes it was to some but it wasn't as apparent because we had too many other issues in our side and how we played....game plan, poor coaching, poor skills, poor f50 entries etc etc

Charlie's problems were 'diluted' in our team...but it is now clearly exposed in the swans team who expect more from each player.

There is a fine line between the competing teams so when key players dont perform it can mean a loss.

Plus there is now more focus on Charlie by the wider afl community because it was a big trade move by the swans...he was a "star" recruit....expectations are high.

Working his way through what Dean! :tearsofjoy:

The worrying thing for me is that Cox has clearly flagged there (diplomatically) that the effort and contest from Charlie hasn't really been up to the standard they expect so far.

They will no doubt work on improving that standard, but is this the standard that Voss and co just accepted and were happy with at Carlton (particularly in the last 2 years) ?

Crows would have to be faves at home ... only being a Melbourne south western suburbs lad ... it's Bulldogs for the upset

It's a Woof Woof from me in a close one ... Dogs need to be accurate on the scoreboard I reckon to take this out.
Crows are a 4-5 Goal better team at home.

Another top of the table clash with lightening fast hand and foot skills on show <drools>
