This thread is for discussion of the games we aren't playing in. It is not a thread to constantly refer to how well/badly we are going in our own games, nor is it a place to ruin the enjoyment of others with constant jabs or referrals to Carlton's woes.

Any posts that do so continuously will get deleted, and anyone who continues to push the envelope afterwards will find themselves threadbanned.

Thanks all!

Umpiring inconsistent with the man on mark rule today.

Could’ve sworn the same thing happened 10mins ago with Crisp not standing the mark and wandering backwards, it was play on.
Umpiring super consistent in favour of Collingwood again (and I Am a neutral in this match).
Darcy Cameron pushes Dees player in the back into Elliot who gets a free due to the dees player falling into his knees.
So blatant the one sided bias in the umpiring so far...

A couple of imaginary free kicks being plucked out - the one to Bobby Hill for f** knows what, and another to Sidebottom who feigned head contact sucked the umpires in badly.

He grabbed his face and got the free kick. The other week Elliot stopped on the spot, threw his arms up in the air and got a free kick. Neither were even close to being free kicks.

The simple fact is that Collingwood players know the umpires love them and play it up. They might just win this years flag asking for and receiving free kicks any time they want one.

Dees are soooo frustrating to back ... they get plenty of ball but so often blow their opportunities and turn the ball over. Even shots at Goal ... Dees miss then goes down other end and Coll'd kick a Goal.

Can't see Dees winning this one ... as Pies are so good at making you pay for an error and turnover ... and Dees are serving up plenty of those for Coll'd to take advantage of.

It's a shame cause if the Dees were more efficient ... they'd probably win not only this game ... but the Premiership. So much wasted talent in that Team.

... right.

Collingwood player collects loose ball, and drops to all fours completely unprompted. Melbourne player, entirely too late, tries to dive over the Collingwood player; if he had kept going, he'd have had a good case for contact below the knees.

But nope. High contact.

Now, the blood dripping from his head confirms that high contact was made, but this is arguably more blatant playing for high contact than ducking is. It's a dangerous action, as it's built to generate high contact from a chasing player unable to react. A knee to the head is nothing to laugh about. But the AFL is more than happy to let this play out, because their legal department will be happily collecting the footage and waiting for the first post career concussion lawsuit, either from an individual or class action, and will happily say that the players contributed to their own injuries to seek advantage.

They get to point at the 'head is sacrosanct' curfuffle at tribunal, say they did everything they could to protect players, and get away scot free because the players did it to themselves.
