This was talked about on 3AW last night but I missed the first part - but I beleive there was some talk of John Longmire - perhaps someone else can elaborate.

I don't know why people persist with Cresswell - he had one year at the club and walked over family issues and doesn't appear to have had much effect at Brisbane.

I'd be wary of anything to do with Rennis Witham as well. If she runs for the baord again, I would definitely not vote for her.

I have been saying this all along. It all started early in the season and has led to our downfall. The media has known for ages and with respect have not reported this, unisual as it may seem.

The facts are the facts. When you report what you believe to be the truth you get blasted by the d..k heads out there with stupid comments.
These people deserve the season we had

If the position becomes available I'd take Cresswell. Fact is, he walked because his wife didn't like Geelong, they can live in Melbourne like Bomber did.

Secondly, our midfield was dominating when he was in charge of them, Kelly, Ling, Corey (2 of them), were great up and comming midfielders who were amongst the best in the league for effective disposal.

The article also states they believe that Hinkley will be looked at for senior coach !!! God what are they thinking?? Hinkley is CRAP !!!!

Our forwards haven't improved their kicking, nor their ability to kick a large amount of goals, yet there is talk of Hinkley taking on the role of head coach.

Please someone tell them they are dreamin'.

Saw Caroline Wilson on Fox Footy - she did not back off her article (as you would expect) although Terry Wallace was very critical of any suggestion that managers of players should have any say in this type of matter.

Bottom line is that Geelong supporters will now feel that to keep Bomber will not give any feel of a "fresh" approach. It is just such a tough environment at this level - Thompson is no radical type in terms of strategy and just seems so laid back - people I speak to want change. Alternatives are few and far between as senior coach but I bet that 9 out of 10 supporters would feel more hopeful in 2007 if the club paid him out and chose a new coach.
