Ashes stream?

Everywhere i go people tell me to go to:

but i go there and click on the links and they all say "....... is not a registered protocol".
What am i doing wrong?

Yesterday I was listening to the BBC stream no problem, today it tells me I can't due to my location. ABC is a no go for those outside Australia. Seems quite ridiculous to me.

It is crap.

The ABC does not stream outside Australia because they do not have the rights to international streaming.

the BBC does not stream outside the UK because they do not have the rights to international streaming.

So who does have the rights to international streaming and why are they not streaming audio then ?

If whoever has the rights does not utilize them, they should default back to the relevant public broadcaster.

Funny thing is, BBC have international streaming rights when England play at home- and up to this year, the ABC has had streaming rights when the Aussies were at home. Makes it difficult for those of us who enjoy seeing the game on the radio

Indeed. What have they got to lose ? It is not like there is some subscription service to the ABC that I can sign up to, and therefore avoid if they stream it. It simply denies people access. It denies my 10 y.o. son the thrill of sneaking down and listening to it late at night.... right now he is playing baseball at school, something which is on ESPN nearly 24 hours a day.

I get stopped from listening to state games when they are on grandstand. It's a pile of nonsense. Luckily perthnow cover the home games for the Warriors only their level of commentary leaves a bit to be desired. Still, at least Terry Alderman isn't doing it anymore.

OK, does ANYONE know of a way to listen to the ashes on the iphone (tunein radio station? abc and bbc five live dont work, or another app?) stuck at work (ON A FREAKING SATURDAY) and they block all streams on the pc.

I am sure this has been covered before but the way to get round geo-location is to subscribe to a VPN service located in the country you want to access. Costs bugger-all and you can watch and listen to all sorts of goodies. For example, google vpngates.
