I was asked out by a girl once. I was crazy about her but too scared to ask her out. Thought she was way too hot for me. Thankgod she had the balls to ask the question. She was pretty emabarassed, as was I.

Was at a party on the w/e and a group of us were standing outside, having a drink, etc.
Conversation turned towards dating, and this gay guy and chick started talking about all these rules. Guy has to call the chick, never the other way around. You can't call on the same day that you get their number or it means you're a weirdo. You can't wait a long time cause....they had like a billion of these things. Us straight guys were standing there wondering if we should be taking notes.

After about 15 mins of listening i couldn't take it anymore and i said "you people watch too much Sex & the City. Why bother with all these Bulltish games and rules? " and got good support from the other straight guys but the standard "men just don't get it" reply from the chick.

Last chick i dated was into all these BS rules. Dead set she tried all that "hard to get" crap, even after we had been going out for a couple months. P1ssed me off more than made me want to continue the courting. Fk that!

The way I see it is, chicks aren't worth doing your head in over (been there done that), if they want to play these stupid 14-year old's games then they most definately aren't a person of interest to me in any way, shape or form (maybe a root ) but that's about it - so they can play their games and I'll go hunting elsewhere.
Ever notice how many of these girlie magazine reading rule nazi's ended up in so many crap, boring relationships with complete twonks and they can never, ever crack it for a smile?

Here is how i got to go out with my current girlfriend & it works almost everytime (as friends of my girlfriend have said pretty much exactly what i said to her to guys who they wanted to go out with but were too afraid/nervous to approach). Just walk up to the person in question holding your mobile phone in your hand & start looking at it with a really puzzled look on your face. Odds are that the person in question will say to you, "What's the matter with you or your phone?" & you reply 'it seems to be broken as it doesn't have your phone number on it'. The person will smile & you have broken the ice in starting a conversation with them.
