So what is the best way to ask a guy out... say this guy is someone i see around the place, but do not really talk to, have no chacne to talk tohim as he's always with friends.

i thought the old "excuse me you dropped this" with paper and my number on it would do??

Apparently not.

Help please :)

Firstly, welcome to this end of the forum AWG. Seems like you found it ok. :p
That idea doesn't sound to bad to me, but if he doesn't call you, then you've kinda put all your eggs in one basket.

See if you can get him by himself and then just go up and say hi. Do you see him at Uni?

"So where are you taking me on <insert day name here> night?".

If that doesn't work then he's gay, or taken, or both.

Do guys actually want girls to ask them out?

Yes. Then we can say '' no I will be busy washing my hair''

Of course they do nicky... men are just as goofy and shy as women are...if he didnt take the '' oh I think you dropped this hint'' then he is either gay or just as confused and shy about asking

To start a conversation with him, you could just walk up, say excuse me, and just ask him if he has a sister or relative by the name of <insert name here> that went to or worked <insert name of place here>? Then move the conversation on to finer things after clearing that up.
Then go from there.

I was at a girl's place once and there was a group of us. My mate had announced we were leaving. I sort of knew she was keen but could really say anything. She wrote a message on a piece of paper and held it by her side so I was the only one in the room who could read it. It read: stay behind and I'll give you a blow job.:thumbsu:

I guess you're youngish? 16-20? If so, here's a tip - most guys aged 13 to death think with their penis.

Anyway, softly softly catchee monkey. Find out what he's into, e.g. sport/music etc maybe you have something in common. Footy would be good cos then you can all go in a group to a game and see what pans out. Maybe suggest going for pizza or whatever after the game. Should you manage to be alone with this guy casually ask him if he'd like to go out with you, what have you got to lose? If he says no it will probably be "Because he's not into you" and the next time you see him say hello as if nothing happened. Guys hate clingy females.

Good Luck

That's not true.

Why do you think there are so many guys on bigfooty?

The answer is because it's more interesting than listening to women nag :thumbsu:

If u say so but are you really sure they all are guys? ;)

you know why women nag cos their menfolk are on BF ignoring them:)

Dont do the number on the paper thing... trust me

You can make your intentions known a bit more suttle...

Ive seen it all before, and when you make yourself that keen, the guy has the authority and will tend to give you little respect down the track..
He will probably just end up using ya...

If it happens to me, i just assume i can do better, through the fact that shes doing the chasing so i just normally stay away...

Plus im also arrogent...

I think that's a fair enough assesment.
