Carr is not moving back to Adelaide just to be an assistant. This is a clear signal he will be the next senior coach.

We already did that a few weeks ago. A succession plan would at least give us confidence that 2024 and onwards might not be wasted years.the worst move possible if this is a succession plan. Just no sense
It would basically make 2023 a wasted year where expectations were minimal.
Dunno Josh seems to prefer living in Adelaide than Perth, I'm not reading more into anything until Hinkley is through.

"make"?the worst move possible if this is a succession plan. Just no sense
- what if Hinkley succeeds next year?
- why would Ken agree to it?
- why would he take the bombers job now rather than stay on for a lame duck year?
- why give Hinkley another year then?
- why would Ken show any commitment during a succession play?
- why Carr?
- why does Carr need a ‘mentorship’?
- why would Bassett and Monty be ok with that?
- why not Schoey?
- why would any player come or work hard as the club has signalled it’s a ‘transition’ year?

When was Josh last here as an assistant? About the same time as Rehn?
Did he leave or was he pushed back then?
Was Ken coach back then?
He had success coaching his own side with North Adelaide, and seems to have been well regarded at Freo, so he has all-round experience.
Seemed a measured and studious type at North, spectacles and allAnd we know he has the "grit" (or something that rhymes with it) that Dimma had, so he wouldn't baulk at having his charges play unsociable footy!
Would want to know more about him first, but the notion is romantic and has some appeal.
Maybe Carr and Solomon (or Rutten) onto the panel?
What
What if Ken does a Clarko and quits?
RAMVISION LOL.
Donuts would have to be a little uncomfortable atm, not unless he has acknowledged his time is coming and is okay with it.
No current season stats available
Sneakily so do I.Still got my hopes up that essendon will offer ken a monster contract that he can say no to.
Best in the business.Id be bringing paddy Ryder over as the ruck coach

Because when we don't we end up with Hinkley. Why do we solely recruit ex port players?
