Any chances of parity?

Undoubtedly there will come a time when the Aussie is worthless against the Pound in years to come.

So at what point should you buy up some Pounds?

excellent point

Citibank grew their Greece office in the dark days of the GFC and the Greece default. Obviously loads of opportunity amongst the turmoil.

One mans loss is another mans gain.

Hard to tell when to buy with anything. You can never predict when it will bottom out or when it will peak to sell.

Yep too hard to predict timing as there are too many variables and levers

Bit like when should I buy a home. Should I wait for the market to drop?

Similar with refinancing or new home loans for a better rate and deciding whether to fix or not.

Some time after they actually leave the Eurozone.

People are losing their shit over the pound being GBP0.55 to the dollar. I've bought pounds at 0.65 before. The pound isn't even that weak against the Euro. In the last week it's dropped from EUR1.30 to EUR1.20. Hardly Zimbabwe territory. I wouldn't be surprised to see it creep back up to 1.25/1.30 over the next couple of weeks.

If the pound gets above 0.70 to the dollar it's worth looking at but if it significantly weakens as a result of Brexit it isn't going to go back to 0.40 overnight unless our currency is in the toilet against everyone.
