A heap of Aussies Abroad played overnight (11/2/2017):

Starting in England, Aaron Mooy's Huddersfield Town took on Massimo Luongo's QPR in the English League Championship. Both Aussies played full games for their team respectively, with Mooy claiming bragging right, helping Huddersfield to a 2-1 win away. His team now sit comfortably in 3rd spot, 8 points ahead of 7th in the promotion zone. Barnsley earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Reading, where Ryan Williams played 67 minutes before subbing off. Bailey Wright played another full shift in defence for Bristol City, as his team played a thrilling 3-3 draw with Derby County. Bristol City let a 3-0 lead half time lead diminish and only earn 1 point. Jackson Irvine had a hard time for Burton Albion, losing 4-1 away against Brighton however played the full game in central midfield. The result puts Irvine's Burton Albion just 2 points ahead of the relegation zone.

FC Ingolstadt played powerhouse Bayern Munich in the German Bundeslia overnight, where Mathew Leckie couldn't inspire his team to a point. The lesser-known team were 0-0 until injury time where Bayern scored twice quickly and all but sealed the win. Leckie played 89 minutes before being subbed. Ben Halloran remained on the bench for Heidenheim in the 2. Bundesliga, as they won 2-0 away against Wurzburger.

In the English League 1, Aiden O Neill got his first start for his loanee team Oldham Athletic, playing a full game in a 3-2 win against Coventry City. Andy Rose also played a full game for the losing team. Bury earned a much needed 1 nil win over Swindon Town, as Cam Burgess played the full game in defence for the victors as well as picking up a yellow card late in the game. James Meredith played a full game as well, for Bradford City in their 1-1 draw with Brisol Rovers. So the English press are now saying Mooy could be worth around 30 million bucks. I wonder if Pep would sell him if an offer of that size came across the table ??

That seems rather large for a Championship level player, albeit a very good one who would comfortably play EPL. That would make him by far the most expensive Aussie player in history. Although Kewell and Dukes at their best in these times would've fetched more.

Just keeps getting better and better for Aaron Mooy's Huddersfield. Won 1-0 overnight against promotion battlers Reading. Mooy played the full game in the home win, which puts them into outright 3rd on the table. 4 points behind 2nd place Brighton, as well has having a 4 point cushion over 4th place Reading. Huddersfield are now on a 8 game unbeaten streak, including a draw against Manchester City in the FA Cup. Have loss once in their last 11 games.

Jackson Irvine suffered a scare in Burton's 0-0 draw with Derby, coming off in the 45th minute with a lower leg injury. Hoping nothing too serious there.

Massimo Luongo stayed on the bench as QPR won 2-1 against Wigan.

Cam Burgess recently played a full game for Bury in their 2-1 win over Coventry City. The result puts his loanee team 4 points clear of the relegation zone in English League 1.
He also made the English Football League's Team of the week - given to the best XI players of English 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier (Championship, League 1 and League 2). Well done Cam Burgess indeed. Definitely look like a prospect that could break into the Championship soon

Taggart and Maclaren are better than this imitator.

Amazing to think MacLaren may end up being a five or six cap international – guy debuted v England didn't he? I actually went to school with his younger cousin and I used to dob perfect crosses on the pricks head four or five times a match. Maltese bastards. He never used to acknowledge my work from the side either for some reason...

Little bit racist...... but I tend to agree.
