Not sure if this has been in the papers but I've heard they finished filming the Australian version of this sometime ago to be shown in the first half of 2017.

The story is the guy that was shot on set filming the Bliss n Esso film clip and subsequently died was a contestent and goes far in the series (could of even won). Channel Nine are trying to work through how they deal with it.

Yeah not sure what they do. I think they will edit him out a much as possible which you would think they could do until their get to the final. Maybe redo some of the commentary.

I'm currently editing episode 4 (heat 4), which was meant to be his first appearance. He went on to place 3rd overall in the series but sadly he has to be removed from the series.

STILL

The show is looking great. Hope you guys enjoy it. I don't think an on air date has been finalised yet.

Looks like they're going to stip it 5-6 nights per week, at 100-105 minutes per episode.

I was looking forward to watching it, but that's way too big a commitment for me. They just lost one viewer, I suspect I won't be the only one.

that's ridiculous if it's true! 60 minutes (including ads) is the perfect show length for Ninja Warrior.

This will go the same way as Wipeout.

Will get 2 seasons max.

Who wants to watch meatheads running through an obstical course and also having to endure all their background stories. So exciting!

Seriously, who are these people? Gym junkies. I'm so impressed!

Here's the scheduling for next week, noting that the 7-day schedule for Friday isn't available yet.
1900-2045 Sunday night
1930-2110 Monday
1930-2110 Tuesday
Wednesday night is a repeat, at 2230 - possibly due to State of Origin?
Thursday night is also a repeat, at 2230

Even 3x 100 minute episodes is too much.

Looks like it's going to be My Kitchen Ninja, full of crap about the "journey" the competitors took to get there, how much a "victory" would mean for them, and ridiculously long post-mortems over analysing every competitor's attempt on the course.

The Japanese show doesn't waste time on any of that rubbish. We do get a little bit of background on some of the returning champions, those who have proven themselves in previous competitions. We don't even get to see half of the competitors, except in a montage showing the best (worst) fails.

I could be very, very wrong... but nothing about ANW looks promising. Too long, and too many episodes per week. I was looking forward to it, being a big fan of the original show on SBS. I won't bother watching Nein's embarrassing version.

This is exactly the format actually. Except we don't have returning champs because it's the first season. Watch and then take or leave it reckon. But yeah, it's too long for what is the same thing over and over again.

Even without the My Kitchen Ninja stuff, which I still think they'll throw in, 3x 100 min episodes per week is too much. Even if the show does only run for 3 weeks. If they'd done 9x 60-min episodes, over 9 weeks, then I'd be in.

The little Asian with the nunchucks is gorgeous.
